Before you start playing Jedi Survivor, you may be wondering how much freedom of map exploration the game has. We explain whether the game has a fully open world, how does the exploration of the planets work and whether the team can travel freely around the galaxy.

Exploration of open maps

In Star Wars Jedi Survivor, you won't find one big open world with no restrictions - Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Does it have an open world? - Explore - Star Wars Jedi Survivor guide

In Star Wars Jedi Survivor, you won't find one big open world with no restrictions. However, the game offers a lot of freedom in exploring selected semi-open maps. Koboh is by far the largest map in the game - consisting of dozens of smaller or larger regions. You can spend a lot of time on this map.

Initially, many of the locations you discover are partially or completely inaccessible. You can explore them only after you have obtained a particular gadget or skill. Selected areas may also remain inaccessible until the very end of the game, as you won't be able to, for example, open doors or go around chasms.

Jedi Survivor greatly rewards optional exploration - you can find various collectibles. Valuable secrets can include essences or stim canisters. The game also has side missions (rumors) and fights with optional bosses.

You can also continue the game after completing the main storyline to, e.g. revisit skipped activities. It can take dozens of hours to check all the game's content. Jedi Survivor is clearly a longer and larger game than its predecessor.

Traveling around the galaxy

The game world is divided into several large locations, which include planets, moons and research stations - Star Wars Jedi Survivor: Does it have an open world? - Explore - Star Wars Jedi Survivor guide

The game world is divided into several large locations, which include planets, moons and research stations. The Mantis ship, known from the first installment, is back as your way of traveling around the galaxy.

You won't be able to freely choose your destination for a long time - you will only be able to choose locations tied to progressing in the main storyline. However, after making enough progress, you will be able to return to old maps to, for example, get missed collectibles or use new exploration-related abilities.

The galaxy map may show planets and other objects, but you won't be able to visit them. They only serve as background.
