The Bog Map from Spintires MudRunner and how to drive through it.

Last update: 12 December 2017

The Bog is characteristic for its size - driving to and from the single lumber mill will take extended amounts of time. This chapter contains a map, walkthrough, and suggested routes for the eastern fragment of the map which is much simpler seeing as there is only a single lumber mill and a single log station present (other maps have two lumber mills and/or two log stations).

The scenario begins with a choice of three vehicles that can be worth a total of 7 stars - The Bog | Map Spintires MudRunner - Maps - Spintires MudRunner Guide and Tips

The scenario begins with a choice of three vehicles that can be worth a total of 7 stars. Choose two class C trucks and a class A recon vehicle. You can find additional vehicles in the south-western part of the map. Nevertheless, two trucks you've began the scenario with will be more than enough to win.

Start by following the green route - a sandy road leading to a garage in the north-eastern corner of the map. Load garage points on both vehicles to unlock the garage with a single route. Green route leads through a few small water basins (red exclamation mark). Moreover, you have to get past a wooden bridge - exercise caution especially if you are travelling with two trucks at once (towing a second vehicle using a rope). There are also two watch points that you can activate along the way.

Use the garage to equip your vehicles with log-carrying equipment. You can choose from two routes. White route leads through the fuel station and a few forested areas. You'll be following a sandy/muddy road that leads to large bogs. The white road has a single downside - length - trek through the deep forest takes longer than the blue route. Blue route, on the other hand, leads the player through large water basins and other obstacles that may get your vehicle stuck. Fortunately, there are numerous trees in the vicinity. Utilize your winch to get out of tough spots - the water is too low to submerge your vehicles, but you still can get stuck.

You can return to the garage/fuel station once you've loaded the timber using both white or the blue route. Refill, then return to the lumber mill (green route).

You can also utilize the orange route to access the log station directly from the lumber mill. A very simple route - make sure to land on the western side of the basin seen in the central part of the map as there are numerous quicksands on the other side of the lake. Do not get misled by the large green meadow - your vehicle will surely get stuck in the mud if your approach is too slow. If you've fallen prey to the quicksand, make a detour to retrieve the K-700 which works great as a rescue vehicle. Nevertheless, a good class C vehicle should get through the meadow without any unnecessary stoppages. A single convoy will be enough to fill the needs of the lumber mill, ending the scenario.
