Golden armor and the mask are key plot items. Only a person equipped with these items is able to unlock the passage leading to the game's finale. So if you want to see the ending, you have to find them.
Where to get golden armor and mask?
Update 02 made obtaining gold armor and mask a bit harder. Both of these items are no longer in the same bunker. You will have to travel around the map.
If you want to get the golden mask, your goal is still the bunker located in the eastern part of the map. To enter it, you must have a Maintenance keycard (obtaining it is described on a separate page of the guide Keycards). Once you're inside, a cut-scene will be triggered at some point. After that, you will get access to the part of the complex where the items you are looking for are located.
- Golden mask is at the very end of the bunker - on floor 5. In one of the rooms there is a morgue. Inside, on the corpse, you can find the item you are looking for.
- Golden armor is in a cave located between the lake and the south-western slope of the mountain. To go through it, you must have a diving kit. Some corridors are completely flooded.
At some point, you will come across golden decorations on the walls. Follow them and you will come across something resembling an altar. The golden armor lies on it.
How to use golden armor and mask?
Once you get the golden armor and the mask, head north. Right next to the shore, you will find a bunker. This is the final location where you will see the game's ending.
While exploring this complex, you will come across a dilapidated bathroom - in its corner there is a hole almost completely covered by steam. Go there and equip yourself with golden armor and mask. Then the passage leading to the cave complex will open.
