Chapter 7 of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened Remake takes us back to London. After returning to his apartment, Sherlock will visit Barnes' Bookshop to decipher Ashmat's message. Our guide will help you with answering the questions in Mind Palace, as well as help complete an optional task from Sherlock's brother - The Lone Watcher.
How to decipher Ashmat's message?
Leave the apartment and take a new copy of the newspaper from the boy.
Head to Barnes' Bookshop. Once there, talk to Mr. Barnes and use up all of the dialogue options. Ask Mr. Barnes for help in translating the book.
Go to the bookshelf on the left side of the counter and pick up a clue.
Open the Casebook, pin Cryptic Message to Ashmat and search the archives.
- Choose Scotland as the location.
- Choose the 1800s as the period.
- Select Maritime as the Achievement.
Enter the Mind Palace and with the question What is the cryptic message for Ashmat about, choose:
- Killing Tempest Article,
- Barnes' first look at the book,
- Stevenson Family.
Talk to Barnes and ask him for a map of the coast. Go to the map on the table and examine all 4 drawings of lighthouses.
After examining the map, approach Barnes and get the translated book from him.
Enter the Mind Palace, and at the question Who is the cult leader and what is their goal?, choose:
- Ritual of awakening,
- Profile of A. Rochester presumed dead,
- Ardnamurchan Lighthouse.
Now you can leave the bookstore - go back to Sherlock's apartment to finish Chapter 7.
In front of the bookstore, Sherlock's brother will stop you and ask for help. This is a side case and you don't have to complete it in order to continue with the story.
The Lone Watcher
Go to the house marked on the above map (near Stenwick's Manor).
Examine the bottle, the letters and the door. Turn left, enter the alley and go to the back area of the house.
Examine the door of the house and go to the right side of the garden. Examine the gate, telescope and map on the table.
On the body of the man examine:
- face,
- tattoo on his left hand,
- right hand,
- notebook.
Check out the wasp nest on the other side of the garden and return to the Bookstore. Talk to Mycroft and give him the conclusion.
