While going through Chapter 6 in Sherlock Holmes The Awakened you will hit the next stage of Sherlock Holmes' vision. In this guide we explain how to help Arneson and how to leave the cave.

During Chapter 6 of Sherlock Holmes The Awakened Remake, Sherlock once again experiences the vision of The Abyss. Our walkthrough will help you solve all of the puzzles and find the answer to the question in Mind Palace. Moreover, we explain step-by-step where to find the ingredients needed to sedate Arneson and how to leave the cave.

The Abyss

After entering the cave, follow the narrow corridor until you reach 3 diverting passages. Turn around and pick up the book.

Once the book has been examined, turn around and follow the light.

Go right and go through the rock opening. Above the stone hand you'll see some platforms that have to be lowered. Go up the stairs on the right.

Stand on the symbol on the ground and go back down the stairs.

As you go down the stairs, turn right and continue forward until you reach another staircase. Go between the stairs to the bottom and stand on the second symbol.

Once all the platforms are down, check their position. You have to pass them in mirrored fashion.

Go through the rock opening. When you return to the same area, you will notice that the platforms have disappeared, and the arrangement of all the elements is a mirror image of the same location.

Stand on the outermost point and walk towards the stone hand on invisible platforms. Go around the boulder on the right and walk toward the first cage.

Circle the cage from the left and go straight to the next one. Circle the second cage also from the left, turn right and descend to ground level. Go through the door.

Approach the 3 stones before the door and activate Concentration Mode. Examine the footprints on the ground and look at the 3 symbols drawn on the stones.

In front of each moving blade you'll find a stone with a symbol drawn. Now, Sherlock must die 3 times killed by 3 different blades marked by the same symbols that you've seen at the door. The order of passing through the blades doesn't matter. Once you complete this ridiculous task, the door will open.

How to leave the cave?

After successfully completing The Abyss section, you'll assume control of Watson. Approach Arneson and examine:

1. right hand,
2. left hand,
3. face,
4. marks on the ribs.

On the table to the right of the altar examine:

1. bottles on the left,
2. fruit in the bowl,
3. book,
4. mushrooms.

At the table to the left of the altar examine:

1. pitcher,
2. dish on the right,
3. bowl on the left.

You must now search the archives and learn more about the ingredients which you've found in the cave.

Pin the Transparent Liquid and enter the archives.

1. Choose Poisons as the type.
2. For consistency, choose Liquid.
3. For fragrance, choose Odourless.

Now pin the Unknown Decoction evidence and while searching the Archives, choose:

1. consistency - Jelly,
2. odor - Pungent,
3. color - Dark.

Enter the Mind Palace and with the question How can Arneson be sedated? choose:

1. Snake Venom,
2. dwale.

Take these 2 ingredients from the tables near the altar and then interact with Arneson. Once the action switches back to Sherlock, leave the cave - Chapter 6 is concluded.
