Entering the room
It's time to return to the family home. After completing A Gilded Cage story case, you will get to the next room. However, you have to complete all the elements of the previous mission. We have described them in detail on separate pages of our guide:
This time, you're not going to Sherlock's room, but the first room on the left side of the stairs. First you'll see the mother's office. You have to use Concentration Mode to see Sherlock and Jon from childhood.
The boys broke the vase. Stay in Concentration Mode. Use it to study the movements of young men. They will approach the locked door of the mother's room.
Next, you'll run out of the room and head for the stairs. You will hear a sound suggesting that someone has opened the door. It's time to get back upstairs.
The boys were discovered by the doctor who looked after Sherlock's mother.
These memories will make Violet's room open, and you will receive the achievement - A Mother's Arms.
There are many things in the room that you need to examine - this will help Sherlock remember the incident from the day of Violet's death.
Start with the doctor's suitcase. It will surely get your attention. It's a big elegant leather bag that's lying on a chair right next to the table. You need to check not only the outside of the suitcase, but also its contents.
One of the things that will be available in the bag is the medicine bottle. You need to perform a chemical analysis of the found substance. The difficulty of the task depends on the chosen game's difficulty level. The correct solution is shown in the screenshot above.
There's a table next to the doctor's suitcase. On it you need to examine:
- a newspaper,
- doctor's notes.
In the left corner of the room, right behind the bed, you'll see things scattered on the floor. Among them, there are three drawings that you need to examine.
Now it's time to take a look at the bed. Sherlock will be surprised by the belts on the sheets. He will think about the mental illness of his parent.
Behind the bed, you will find a small wooden table. You need to inspect:
- medicines on the countertop,
- a drawer,
- letters in the drawer.
The next thing you need to examine is the bathtub. You will see it right after you enter the room. It's right next to the window.
When you get past the tub and get close to Jon, you'll see flowers. Sherlock will remember that his mother loved them.
The last thing you need to examine is the painting right by the door. It's one piece of the puzzle.
It's a challenge from Jon, and it's a good take part in it. It does not affect the story and evidence, but completing it will improve the relationship between the characters.
You need to move the right pawn, the one that was marked on the picture above. This will help you complete the challenge.
After examining the entire apartment, the next tasks will appear in the casebook. You need to mark the task correctly (as is shown on the screen above) so that more clues appear in the room.
Use the Concentration Mode to discover everything in the room. Thanks to these tips, you will be able to reconstruct the events of this horrible morning.
Time to put together the three events that took place. Start with the scene at the table. On the right should be Sherlock's mother, and on the left - her doctor.
Moving on, you'll see a terrified Sherlock lying on the floor. In front of him stands Jon, who at all costs wants to protect his friend.
The last character in this room is Sherlock's brother, standing by the dresser. Look at his hands - his right is in front of him.
Exit from the House
After reconstructing events, it's time to leave the house. However, there will be a man standing in your way that you inspect.
Look at specific points to be able to judge who the unexpected guest is. Examine following clues:
- hair dye,
- sailor outfit,
- sleek hands,
- the left hand hiding something.
Finally, you have to conclude that the man is an artist disguised as a sailor. This will start another mission -The Muse From Abroad.
