Quechua is the first dialect you'll learn in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It appears in the first crypt. It is also related to the first monoliths available in Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
On this page we have included information about all the monoliths in Shadow of the Tomb Raider concerning the QUECHUA dialect. We described where the monoliths are located and how to get a treasure with monolith's hints.
Peruvian Jungle
The First QUECHUA Monolith
In the location called Peruvian Jungle you will find only one monolith. In its southern part you will come across a stone chapel located in a water reservoir, it will be the QUECHUA monolith. To read it, you need to develop your knowledge of the QUECHUA dialect.
The monolith in Peruvian Jungle will give you the following hint: "Two serpents guard life and death. I lie trapped within their eternal struggle". Lara will read it from the monolith. However, if you have to read it again, you can use the map and move your cursor over the monolith icon - then the text of the hints will appear again.
To find the treasure described in the monolith you have to turn right and climb the stairs to the top. There you will immediately find a statue of two snakes. In the middle of them you will find the treasure.
Kuwaq Yaku
Second QUECHUA Monolith
In the location called Kuwaq Yaku you will find three different monoliths. However, in its southern part you may come across a QUECHUA monolith. If you follow the storyline, it will be the second monolith you meet on your way in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. To read it you need to develop your knowledge of the QUECHUA dialect.
In order to have monolith icon available on the map, you have to talk to a man by the ruins.
The monolith will give you the following hint: "Take a deep breath and find me right under another's nose". Lara will read it by examining the monolith. However, if you have to read it again, you can use the map. Just move your cursor over the monolith icon and the text of hints will appear.
The treasure is located under water, exactly under the statue placed in the water. To get to a suitable water reservoir you have to dive in the water next to the monolith and swim through narrow rocks.
After swimming to the other side you have to find a large stone statue representing the head. There is a treasure - just below it. When you dig it out, you will complete the monolith.
The Hidden City
Third QUECHUA Monolith
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider the third location of QUECHUA Monolith is The Hidden City. You'll find seven different monoliths in the game. Some of them will belong to the QUECHUA dialect.
On the eastern side of the city you will find a monolith. People will always stand by it and worship it.
The monolith contains a hint: "A long sentry stands guard over me and his harvest". Lara will read it by examining the monolith. However, if you have to read it again, you can use the map. Just move your cursor over the monolith icon and the text of hints will appear.
You will find the treasure among the crops, just behind the ancient scarecrow. There are also several raw materials around it.
Mission of San Juan
The Fourth QUECHUA Monolith
The last location you'll find yourself in Shadow of the Tomb Raider is Mission of San Juan. You will find one monolith in it. It will be a monolith belonging to the QUECHUA dialect. To unlock it, you must have a level 2 knowledge of this dialect.
This monolith is located in the eastern part of the city, on the borders of the jungle. You will find it on a rock surrounded by trees. There are no people there.
Lara will read a hint from the Monolith - "I swim with a turtle, seen only by those who let fear fall away".
In the water reservoir, located on the right side of the monolith, stones are laid out on the bottom. Their appearance resembles a turtle. According to the hint, you have to swim as close to it as possible. You will find a treasure near his back limb.
