In the Starting tips chapter you can find information that in Seven: The Days Long Gone your character's equipment has a limited capacity (the default weight is 75 units). Carrying more than that will limit your character's movement. One of the ways to solve this problem is to sell unwanted items to merchants. You can also "sacrifice" these items and get crafting materials. However, there may be times when you don't want to or you don't have time to do that. That is why we prepared the tips that you can find below. You can learn what items are best and most important to pick up first and what objects should be left alone.

  1. Notice that when you point at an item, you can see information about its weight and value. Try to find items with a value several times higher than their weight. The gas mask from the picture above is a good example - it weighs only 2 units and its value is 13 auryte. Of course, you won't always find "attractive" treasures like this one but items that weight 0.2-0.3 units and have a value of 1 auryte are also good (small) findings.
  2. Always add those items to your inventory that weight nothing but they have a real value. Besides auryte shards you can find, e.g. lock picks, books and documents that you can read.
  3. The most valuable items are weapons and armour elements but they are also the heaviest. Choose those pieces that are useful to you or those that you can sell for a lot of auryte. A chest piece that weights 10 units and has a value of only 10 auryte isn't a good choice but, e.g. a weapon that weights a few units and has a value of a few dozens of auryte should be collected.
  4. Always pick up food and other consumables. Most of them are used on an ongoing basis, e.g. to heal your character during fights. Those items that you don't need can be sold to merchants for a rather good price but you can also leave them in your inventory for later (e.g. a syringe that restores energy can be useful when you find a ranged weapon that uses more stamina meter).
  5. Stuffing your inventory with junk isn't recommended unless you plan on getting rid of them all at the same time (selling/dismantling). Try to keep an eye on which blueprints Teriel has and what materials they require (most of them are rather easy to find).

Additional note - Some weapons and armor pieces cost a lot. For example, energy rifles used by technomage soldiers cost 210 auryte for a piece. Sadly, in the beginning of the game, you aren't able to sell them for a full price because those merchants only have 30-40 auryte. Of course, you can accept that offer but you will "lose" 170-180 auryte.
