On this page of our guide to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice we have described the locations of all special items called Gourd Seeds. Collecting them allows you to increase the stacks number of medicinal gourd. This increases your chances of survival in the subsequent, more complex battles of the game.

How to use the obtained gourd seeds?
Every time you get new seeds, you need to go back to Dilapidated Temple and meet Emma the Physician. During the conversation, you can offer her your loot.
Each transfer of new seeds to Emma increases by 1 the stacks of Healing Gourd (by default you can use gourd only once). Limit (stacks) of use can be reset every time you rest at any sculptor idol.
You cannot get this seed during your first visit to the temple. You must contribute to the appearance of Fujioka the Info Broker. This is made possible by meeting him in one of the side areas of Ashina Castle - for more information, please refer to the "Traders" section of our guide.
Fujioka will leave Ashina Castle and reach the Temple. The gourd seed is among the items he sells and costs 2,000 gold.
The seed is left behind by a defeated boss - General Naomori Kawarada. You can't miss the confrontation with him during the exploration of the Outskirts.
Seeds can be found after you have defeated another boss - Chained Ogre. Use a hook with a rope to pull yourself to the hole in the wall of the fortress (as shown in the picture).
Turn left and get to the chest shown in the picture. The item is hidden in the chest.
You can obtain seeds after defeating the main boss Gyoubu Oniwa. Stay on the same site (Ashina Castle Gate Fortress) and go to the stairs leading to the entrance to the fortress. As shown on image above they are adjacent to the huge battlefield where you fought the boss.
Turn right twice and continue climbing the stairs. They will take you to the Battlefield Memorial Mob (as shown in the picture). You can buy gourd seed from him for 1000 gold.
The seed is easy to obtain thanks to the achievements in the main story of the game. You have to walk on the roofs of the castle to get to the shutters located at the back of the building (picture). More specifically, we described it on a separate page of the guide - How to get inside the Ashina Castle?.
In the new room there is a sculptor idol - Upper Tower - Antechamber. Seed is in a large black box shown in the picture.
The seed lies in the lower building of the temple, which for the first time can be reached by going through a part of the forest, with a lot of monks who travel by it. Get to the room with several meditating monks and one big monster. The treasure lies on the ground (as shown in the picture) by one monk who summons insects. Its unique feature is that you can't kill him, but luckily you can "steal" the seed without attacking him.
This seed is pretty easy to miss. Fortunately, it is guarded only by ordinary opponents, elimination of which will be very simple. Once you find yourself for the first time in the Sunken Valley go left and continue the journey until you get to the place shown in the image where you can draw to the shelf on the opposite side of the abyss and kill one archer.
Go through a small cave. Coming out of it, grab the branches and kill another opponent. Now look up. You have to climb after the vertical walls, similar to this one from the attached image.
You will eventually reach a high-located small camp (image above). Gourd seed is located in the interactive container on the right.
Seeds can be found during the exploration of Mibu Village, which is one of the further directions of this location. Look for a container from the attached image, which lies at the base of a large tree (avoid the usual enemies that reside nearby). This is a path leading to the water mill
