As the time progresses, you'll move from simple means of generating electricity to more advanced ones.

At the beginning of the game, HUB has a simple biomass generator (after a few upgrades, you'll receive another one). You can charge it with Leaves, Wood, Biomass, and Biofuel. Leaves are the most available source of fuel. As a result, remember to gather as many leaves as possible during every journey. As the time progresses, you'll be able to build standalone Biomass generators that will increase your electricity output. In the later stages of the game, you'll receive access to more effective ways of supplying electricity, e.g. using Coal.

When you build new objects and overextend the electricity network, a special system will disable the electricity, forcing you to activate the generator manually. Before you approach the nearest generator, make sure that it has fuel. This is the most common cause of power shortages. Build additional generators or cut off some of the buildings to maintain the supply of electricity. Now you can activate the switch in the nearest generator.

Another important problem is supplying electricity to buildings - Electricity in Satisfactory - 10 Important Tips - Satisfactory Guide

Another important problem is supplying electricity to buildings. Remember that the initial pylons can only hold 4 cables (1). Most of the time, you'll be able to connect two objects, and leave the remaining two for connection to the main network and connection with the next pylon. Always build more pylons that you need. Thanks to that, you'll avoid the problem of searching for free connections. On the other hand, cables can connect buildings that are far away (2) and run through other objects, which facilitates planning and supplying the buildings with electricity.
