Of course, the last task is optional. However, if you want to obtain all of the sound collectibles (and Steam achievements), follow the below instructions.

First, climb down from the rooftop of the tower, to the bottom level. To obtain another memento you have to distill some more alcohol. You can find the empty trashcan in the spot circled in the screenshot. Climb down the ladder to the pile of droppings, load the trashcan and use the bellows to distill alcohol (Distilled Spirits Steam achievement).

After you are done, return to the ship. After you get out, you obtain another memento (Cosmic Ring Steam achievement).

Return to the metal knight's moon.

Climb down to its surface and, while holding down the LMB on the magic stone, move the mouse to collect the stone from the top of the knight's head.

After you collect the stone, fly to the blue moon circled in the screenshot.

Here, you find the rightful owner of the magic stone. Left-click on him to interact with him. After you watch the cutscene, drag the magic stone from your inventory onto him.

After a while, you will be able to drop the stone into the container shown in the above screenshot. This way, you will receive another memento (Shem is Home Steam achievement).

Your next stop is the Silver Moon that you have launched from the Volcanic Vent Planet.

Right after you land, you spot cheerful spirits floating around the moon. At the same time, you will receive another memento (Young Spirits Steam achievement).

You an now leave the Silver Moon and go to the Great Log.

In the starting location, go to the section on the right. Approach the tree that used to be broken earlier. After you do, a cheerful spirit will appear (Sprouting Tree Steam achievement).

Now it is time to go back home. Fly up into the air and head for the Home Planet.

After you return, go to the location, in which you started the game. As soon as you come close to home your character's dog will come. Left-click on the dog and collect the last memento in the game (Dog Steam achievement). This is how your journey ends. Of course, you can continue exploring the world, if you want to find out what has changed after the death of the hydra. Have fun. :-)
