Mushroom picker's puzzle | Home Planet Samorost 3 Guide

The puzzle assumes that you arrange the cards in a way that provides a certain couple with food for the entire year. The green card that signifies the tent shows a circle divided into four sections, where each one represents a different season. They fill up as you complete tasks. Click on the cards in front of your character.

The cards represent (left to right): archer, mammoth, tent, fisherman, stag, spearmen, fire, mushroom, boar and pond. The solution to this puzzle, presented below, refers to those names. Drag the cards to the box above them, by clicking the LMB and dragging them into the appropriate slot in the box.

Hunt for the mammoth

1. Spearmen

2. Mammoth

3. Pond

After you see the cutscene, collect Pond from slot 3 and place Fire there. Then, after the cutscene, replace Fire with Tent. The card representing the Mammoth will go blank and the couple in the tent will receive food for an entire season.

Hunt for the boar

1. Archer

2. Boar

After you see the cutscene, place Fire in slot 3, after a while replace it with Tent. The Boar card will remain blank. The first half of the puzzle is done now.

Hunt for the stag

2. Stag

3. Mushroom

After the cutscene, place the Archer in slot 1. Then, replace the Mushroom in slot 3 with Fire and then place the Tent there. The Stag will go blank.

Catch a fish

1. Fisherman

2. Mushroom

After the Fisherman takes the Mushroom, remove the card and place Fire in slot 2. After the cutscene, replace Fire with Pond. Then, replace Pond with Fire again, and then, replace it with Tent. This way, you will solve the puzzle.

Show the green card to the Mushroom picker, and he will agree to give you the knife, thanks to which you can go on with the rest of the puzzles on the planet. Before you leave this section, you can approach the hill that the spirits used to be on and summon them several times. Thanks to interacting with them, more Mushrooms will grow, thanks to which you will receive another collectible (Mushrooms Steam achievement). After you collect it, move the mouse to the left edge of the screen, leave the area with the Musroom Picker, cross the area with the mechanism and make it to the starting location. After you get there, go left for more adventures.
