Way to unlock the quest: Talk to Balthazar.

Quest giver: Balthazar (point 5 on the map)

Reach the stone circle

Balthazar is a ghost and you can meet him at the stone circle in the central part of the island (point 5 on the map). During your conversation with Balthazar your character will note the his interlocutor is seemingly hiding something important from him. This will unlock this quest, during which you will have to find and examine a number of traces left all around the island.

Explore the beach in search of the message in a bottle

Of course, you can reach the abovementioned clues in any order that you want. I recommend that you first go to Eastwards of the location, where you met the ghost. Explore the beach (point 5a on the map) and find the Weathered Message in a Bottle. Apart from collecting the bottle, it is a good idea to open it, from the level of the inventory and read the message.

The journal is on a small rocky ledge

Now, go Southwards of the location where you met Balthazar. You need to reach a small ledge (point 5b on the map), either along the path or by climbing. find the Weathered Records here and learn its contents.

The note is in the ledge of the soul eater

To find the next document, go to the South-Western part of the isle. You need to reach the ledge of soul eater Zrak Xakom (point 5c on the map), connected with the side quest "Paths to the Afterlife". After you have eliminated the monster, find A Protector's Notes on the ground. Pick it up (200 glory points) and read it from the level of the inventory.

Near the place where you find the skull, there is a golem. You can either kill him or walk around him.

The last of the objects that you need to locate is in the valley, in the South-Eastern part of the isle (point 5d on the map). Along your path there, watch out for the Water Lizards and for the Swamp Golem that is staying around. If you do not feel up to it, you can sneak, or run, past the golem. Explore the area and collect Calypso's Skull from the ground (100 glory points).

You can now return to Balthazar (point 5 on the map), but do that only after you have eliminated all five of the soul eaters, while completing the side quest "Paths to the Afterlife" (thanks to this, you will not have to meet the ghost again).

Meet with Balthazar again

During the conversation with Balthazar, show to him the skull that you have found and learn that Calypso was his daughter. If you have found all of the documents, you can reveal to him that you learned about his secret (100 glory points). You can unlock the final part of the conversation only if you have defeated all of the soul eaters. This will allow you to chase away the ghost, from the isle. Balthazar does not object to that and allows you to ask the last question:

• If you choose the first dialogue option, you will obtain 600 glory points and an additional soul point.
• If you choose the first dialogue option, you will receive a Soul Potion and 400 glory points. The potion allows you to raise, permanently the Magic attribute by 5 points.
• If you choose the first dialogue option, you will obtain 500 gold pieces, 400 glory points and a negative soul point.

Note - It would be a good idea to visit Venturo at the Inquisition camp and tell him that you have thwarted Balthazar's plans. Thanks to this, you will be rewarded with 300 gold pieces.

Rewards for completing the quest:

• 400 glory points
• 200 glory points (only if you have selected the first dialogue option)
• Soul Potion (only if you have selected the second dialogue option)
• 500 gold pieces (only if you have selected the third dialogue option)
