How to unlock the quest: Automatically during the main quest "Hunting for Treasure".
Quest Giver: Patty (point 1 on the map)
The chance to start this additional quest appears during the main quest of the storyline "Hunting for Treasure", associated with reaching the ancient temple. After eliminating one of the monster groups (point 1 on the map), Patty should suggest the Nameless Hero to examine the body of a dead pirate, located near the river (point 1a on the map). Go to the place and search the body, acquiring 23 piece of Gold, Cheap Liquor and a Pistol as well.
Go to the small glade located to the South of the body of a dead pirate (point 1b on the map). After reaching it, locate the Shovel and pick it up. Take position near the red X mark painted on the ground and press the appropriate key / button to interact. Wait for the Nameless Hero to dig up a hole (100 Glory Points). Search the hole, collecting 1080 pieces of Gold from it.
The next part of this quest can be completed after reaching the glade located to the South of the main temple (point 1c on the map). You will stumble upon a group of three hostile Pirates here, which you must obviously defeat. You can make the fight a lot easier by using the Rain of Fire scroll, which you should have found in the village. If you don't have the spell, or don't want to use it, rely on your ordinary attacks, remembering to take the targets one by one. You will be awarded 100 Glory Points for killing each pirate, as well as another 100 Glory Points for defeating all of them. Afterwards, search through the bodies of killed enemies.
The last activity to complete during this optional quest is to examine the dead body of Captain Rawlings. It's located inside one of the temple halls (point 1d on the map), inside of which you will fight with two Warriors. Additionally, you will find Rum and 254 pieces of gold by searching the body of the captain. Speak with Patty to end this mission.
