Quest giver: Venturo [#1]

The Inquisitor Venturo [#1] had gone to the north-west part of the land to infiltrate the Shaganumbi village which lies there. If you managed to find the scout hidden deep in the wilds (see: The Lookout's Report), don't forget to talk to him. He'll answer that his mission is not over yet and will ask you to check how many warriors the tribe had sent to the temple. Agree and you will trigger the present quest.

To be able to enter the savages' village, you first have to deal with the guard at the entrance [#2]. Masaru will let you in, but only on one condition - you can't choose the option that insults him. Otherwise you'll pick up a fight and won't be able to go past the Native (see: Duel with Masaru) unless you win.

Venturo is lurking not far from the Natives' village.

There are three ways to complete this quest - each is chosen by a different dialogue option:

• Jim [#3] - start the topic of the Shaganumbi tribe, and then ask about the "Tonkas".
• Ranapiri [#4] - after a short chat, suggest that you would like to know something particular about the Earth Temple, and then simply ask why hadn't Ranapiri taken part in the expedition.
• Kapua [#5] - talk to the shaman and go to straight to the point by asking how many men at his disposal does Crow have.
