Defeat Alex | Metamorphosis - Barry RE: Revelations 2 Guide

Battle with Alex isn't easy, especially since recently you have used most of your supplies to be even able to get to her. Because of that, saving some ammunition and accurate shooting will be even more important. Alex moves on four limbs and she attacks mostly with her arms. She can also spit from distance, which is especially dangerous as not only it damage you, but limit your visibility as well. During the battle enemy will use pipes as well, from which he will try to crush Barry or spit at him.
Hitting the weakspot is quite hard, and you must do it more than dozen times to defeat Alex. Try to fight in the place where piano is, it will allow you to retreat in both directions. From there you will have a good visibility of pipes in which Alex hides - her current position can be located by switching to Natalie. So shoot accurately, let most of the bullets hit her head, and whenever Alex uncovers herself (for example by standing on her legs and trying to attack you or when she sticks her head out of the pipe), then use the strongest of your weapons to shoot at her orange "heart".
After more than dozen of accurate hits Alex will mutate and her arms reach will slightly increase. She will have a new attack as well - creating poisonous gas. She will use it mostly when hanging with her head down. Poisoned territory is covered in fog, so avoid staying there for too long, you must change your position frequently.
More than dozen headshots will end with Alex falling on her back. Use that moment to jump on her and give few shots at her uncovered heart. During the battle you must watch out for Natalie who will be attacked as well, help her get up whenever it is needed. Finally Alex will die and you will be able to enjoy the cutscene.
Important: Ending is different depending on what choice you made at the end of third episode in Claire campaign. If you killed Neil as Claire cutscene will end the episode and the part described below won't happen. If it was Moira that killed Neil, then get ready for final confrontation with Alex.
After the cutscene, as Claire, use sniper rifle to shoot at Alex (don't worry about bullets, you can reload whenever necessary). Focus especially on explosive barrels whenever Alex will walk nearby them. You can shoot the final Tower emblem from the position where you begin as well - you will find it on the top of the ridge, between stone blocks, slightly from the left side.
When enemy enters the cave, you will be switched to Barry. You can immediately get out of the caves to control Claire again or use the powerful revolver and give Alex some damage from close distance (ammunition can be found in chests). Character switch will occur around two times more (whenever you walk out of the cave as Barry) before Claire will take rocket launcher. Give some accurate shots to finally end the game.
