Unlocking the passage on level B1
You will start the final part of your visit to Heisenberg's Factory after using Heisenberg's Key to open the door on level B1 - Storage. Be sure to visit the first room you come across, where aside from lots of supplies you will find a note with a hint on how to defeat Sturm.
We recommend that you restock on meds and ammo before you continue your journey. Shotgun and grenade launcher ammo will be particularly useful.
Prototype Sturm boss fight
Enter the larger room that is adjacent to the one described above. When you walk a few steps forward, the Prototype Sturm boss will appear and this time you must defeat him in direct combat. At first you may think that the battle location might cause problems due to its labyrinth-esque structure, but Prototype Sturm can knock down the walls with ease. This will happen each time he initiates a new charge attack. It's really important to note that the boss always runs in a straight line while charging and cannot deviate sideways. Take advantage of this and move sideways whenever the boss charges at you.
Your goal should be to get Prototype Sturm to knock down most of the walls in the large room where the fight is taking place. This will make it easier for you to avoid current and future supersoldier attacks.
Don't try to attack the boss right away. Instead, after dodging sideways, always run after the boss to where he collided with the wall after charging. The aforementioned action will temporarily stun Prototype Sturm. You can take advantage of this and shoot at the red core on Sturm's back - it's the boss's weak spot. You should use the best weapons you have (magnum, grenade launcher, shotgun, etc.) to attack the core in order to deal as much damage as possible to the supersoldier before he returns to normal.
Once the boss takes more damage, flames will appear to signal severe overheating, which is counterintuitively bad news, as Prototype Sturm will gain new attacks.
His first new attack is to use a flamethrower. It is signaled quite clearly and you should quickly hide behind some wall or other form of cover. Unfortunately, the flames remain in the arena for a while and during subsequent boss fights, you must try to avoid coming into contact with them.
The second new boss attack is to quickly charge three times in a row. He will charge blindly twice, but the third charge will be aimed at Ethan and you will have to quickly jump aside as a result.
Just like during the first stage of the battle, be ready to quickly fire at the reactor on the back of the boss as soon as he finishes charging for the third time and collides with the wall.
Keep repeating the steps described above - there's no need to rush. It's a good idea to be careful and slowly chip away at the boss's energy points. Upon defeat, Prototype Sturm will drop the Complex Mechanical Heart treasure. This is a Very Valuable artifact that is worth selling to Duke - he will offer a surprisingly large amount of 45000 Lei for this item.
An exit has been unlocked on the opposite side of the room.
You can explore a small control room and an even smaller room next to it. Apart from supplies, you will find Heisenberg's Diary (a collectible).
Go to Cargo Bay and head out to its opposite end. You must reach the lever located at the end of the boom. You will be transported to Level 1F. Shortly after Ethan starts exploring this floor, he will encounter Heisenberg, who will transform into a giant machine.
After watching the cut-scene, you be able to control Ethan again at the Waste Runoff on level B5. Find the grid that will get you into the adjacent Scrapheap area. There, you will meet Chris.
There is a typewriter in your current location. Your goal now is to control a mini-tank equipped with:
- A cannon that deals massive damage, but has a long cooldown. Consequently, try not to miss any of the shots you make.
- Machine Gun, which has much less firepower, but allows steady fire. Use this weapon while waiting for the cannon to reload.
- A chainsaw that you can use to guard.
Take the machine into the elevator and wait until you're transported to a new floor.
Boss Fight - Mutated Heisenberg
After driving the mini-tank out of the elevator, you'll find yourself in a large arena where Mutated Heisenberg resides. You have start the boss fight with Heisenberg and the vehicle you're controlling will help you during the first part of the fight.
Target the red areas on the boss's armor - these are his weak points. Optimally, all the shells you fire from the cannon should hit these. You will be able to significantly shorten the duration of the fight with this strategy.
While you're busy shooting at the boss, you must of course be mindful of his attacks. Make full use of the ability to guard activated by holding down the L1/LB button - it also activates a chainsaw attack. You can block the boss's chainsaw attacks in this way.
Heisenberg also frequently uses his ability to levitate objects. In this case, the best solution is to move sideways and take advantage of the fact that the fighting arena is very vast. This is especially true when the boss's attack involves creating a sort of tower out of levitated objects and slamming them into the ground with tremendous force.
Once you've dealt enough damage to the boss, Heisenberg will create a sort of tornado that will pull the tank towards it. Wait until it's possible to use the cannon and fire a straight one at the boss's "head".
The attack will lead to Ethan being ejected from the machine. No worries - this is a scripted event that can't be avoided.
Switch to a sniper rifle. You will find a lot of ammunition for these weapons in the area.
Try to aim your sniper rifle at the exposed parts on the boss's body, i.e. the parts that are no longer shielded by armor. They will deal surprisingly high damage to Heisenberg and interrupt his charge attacks.
Run around the arena a lot to prevent Heisenberg from attacking the main character with a chainsaw.
You must fight until the boss re-summons the tornado and draws the main character to him. A non-interactive cutscene will play - you don't need to perform any additional actions. By defeating the boss you will gain the Very Valuable Crystal Heisenberg treasure.
An important cutscene will play now, after which you will move to the campaign finale.
