On this page of the guide to Resident Evil Village , you will find a walkthrough of the forest stage you will complete right after the prologue. This guide will tell you how to get to the village adjacent to the forest.

After completing the prologue, Ethan will wake up in a dark forest. You don't have to worry about monsters or getting lost for some time, there is only one path leading from the starting point. You will find a Mission Briefing file at the starting point of the forest exploration, although examining it is optional (we've covered all the files and other unique collectables in the Secrets and Collectables chapter).

You need to start following the unpaved forest path. You will have to crouch in a few places to squeeze through some tight spots.

Ethan ultimately arrives at an abandoned house. You must explore the basement where, among other things, you can examine a painting. After you hear the noise, return upstairs. The main character will be able to squeeze through and use a newly created exit.

Continue making your way, jump over the wooden fence. A linear mountain path will lead you to the village, specifically the western part called West Old Town.
