Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles Resident Evil Village guide, walkthrough

Last update: 11 May 2021

On this page of the guide, you will find a list of weapons available in Resident Evil Village. Follow the list below to unlock all weapons and make the future fights easier.

Is it worth to sell weapons?

Resident Evil Village has an option to sell the weapons to the trader Duke - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

Resident Evil Village has an option to sell the weapons to the trader Duke. Go to the Sell tab and select weapons you don't want to use anymore.

This has its advantages and disadvantages - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

This has its advantages and disadvantages. The main advantages are gaining a lot of credits (Lin) and freeing up the inventory for new items (remember that you can increase your inventory).

The main disadvantage is the price increase for buying a weapon back (in our example, we had to pay 40,000 Lei for a shotgun we sold Duke for 21,000 Lei). Think before making a transaction, i.e. sell weapons that you will definitely not want to use later in the game.

Knife

1 - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide
You will find the knife shortly after you start exploring the village for the first time - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

You will find the knife shortly after you start exploring the village for the first time. It is in one of the huts in West Old Town.

The knife shouldn't be your primary weapon in combat, but it can be useful to quickly attack enemies who were knocked over or have their backs turned to Ethan. This weapon is also great for destroying selected objects from the environment, such as crates or large vases. Do this to find even more loot.

First pistol (LEMI)

You will get the pistol shortly after finding the knife - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

You will get the pistol shortly after finding the knife. Ethan will meet one of the villagers who will hand him a gun to defend himself from the Lycans.

The pistol will be one of the most common weapons you will use. However, its firepower is initially low. When playing on normal difficulty, it will take about 8-9 shots to kill most of the common enemies. Fortunately, you will be able to upgrade the pistol and buy/make rounds.

2 - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide
While exploring Dimitrescu's Castle, you can find the LEMI pistol upgrade - Recoil Compensator - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

While exploring Dimitrescu's Castle, you can find the LEMI pistol upgrade - Recoil Compensator. The upgrade is in a suitcase in the hallway adjacent to the kitchen. You can get there shortly after dealing with one of the bosses - Lady Dimitrescu's first vampire daughter.

The Recoil Compensator upgrade increases your gun's Power by 30 points. To install the upgrade, you need to select the gun in your inventory and then select Equip Part.

First shotgun (M1897)

3 - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide
You can find the shotgun during the first battle in East Old Town, where Ethan has to defend himself against a massive werewolf attack - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

You can find the shotgun during the first battle in East Old Town, where Ethan has to defend himself against a massive werewolf attack. It is lying on a table in one of the huts - we have marked it in the image above. You can pick up the shotgun during the battle (a better idea) or after it is over - once Ethan has a chance to look around.

The shotgun is a great weapon for quickly knocking down regular enemies, which you can then (quickly) kill with a knife or pistol. It is also a weapon that is perfect for boss battles. Its biggest disadvantage is its low initial rate of fire. Fortunately, you can upgrade the shotgun and buy/craft shells (only after buying the ammo crafting blueprint from Duke).

Bonus pistol (Samurai Edge AW Model-01)

This is a unique weapon that you can only unlock if you have purchased the Deluxe version or higher - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

This is a unique weapon that you can only unlock if you have purchased the Deluxe version or higher. This gun is not available in the standard version of the game.

The Samurai Edge, an iconic weapon from previous Resident Evil installments, can be purchased from Duke - you meet him for the first time on your way from the village to the castle. This weapon costs only 200 Lei which isn't much - you should be able to purchase it right away. Samurai Edge has minimally better base stats than the LEMI pistol.

F2 Rifle

4 - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide
You will find the sniper rifle when you reach the attic of the castle - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

You will find the sniper rifle when you reach the attic of the castle. You can't miss it as the weapon is part of the story - it is also easy to spot.

The sniper rifle has many uses. Right after getting it, you will have to eliminate flying monsters on the castle's roof. It is also helpful in the fight against Lady Dimitrescu in the final part of the first visit to the castle. The sniper rifle has a slow starting fire rate and weak zoom. Fortunately, you will be able to upgrade the sniper rifle and buy/craft rounds (only after buying the ammo crafting blueprint from Duke).

The sniper rifle upgrade - F2 Rifle High Capacity Mag - is in the place where the Maestro's Collection gold chest is marked on the map - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

The sniper rifle upgrade - F2 Rifle High Capacity Mag - is in the place where the Maestro's Collection gold chest is marked on the map. To get inside the house, you must first get Luthier's Key, which is in the building in the Garden - you can go there for the first time on your way back from House Beneviento. The artifact is in a locked cabinet - the combination to open it is 270917.

This modification increases the sniper rifle's magazine capacity - you will have to reload this weapon less often.

You can get the second shotgun when returning from the House Beneviento doll house to the main part of the village. When you return to the Garden, go to the cottage shown in the pictures. There is a group of weak monsters nearby that you should deal with first.

The shotgun is inside the cottage - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

The shotgun is inside the cottage. The W870 TAC has better stats than the first shotgun - it deals more damage, has a marginally better firing rate and reload time. You can upgrade this weapon at Duke's, and it uses the same ammo as the first shotgun.

8 - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

An important feature of the grenade launcher is that it can fire two types of projectiles. You switch between them using the L2+X / LT+X buttons:

  1. Explosive Rounds can deal damage to enemies. They are great against bosses and elite monsters.
  2. Flashbangs can temporarily blind opponents.

Go through the gate. You'll see a path leading to an optional mountain area with several huts. You have to watch out for regular and flying opponents here.

The destination is the hut with Moreau's Hidden Weapon golden chest. You can get inside through a small opening at the back of the hut.

You must get rid of a single monster inside the hut - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

You must get rid of a single monster inside the hut. You will find a case with the M1851 Wolfsbane magnum revolver.

As in other Resident Evil games, the magnum will come in handy primarily when facing bosses and elite enemies. Don't forget to visit Duke - you can upgrade the magnum to increase its stats.

During the exploration of the Heisenberg's Factory, you can get a great magnum revolver modification - M1851 Wolfsbane Long Barrel - Resident Evil Village: Weapons - list, collectibles - Secrets & Collectibles - Resident Evil Village Guide

During the exploration of the Heisenberg's Factory, you can get a great magnum revolver modification - M1851 Wolfsbane Long Barrel. It is located in the Operating Room on level MB4. The earliest you can get there is after the backup generator is running. This will allow you to use the nearby switch, though you have to defeat or evade the Soldat before reaching the weapon upgrade.

The Long Barrel upgrade increases the magnum's firepower. It will come in handy during the further fights with the boss, Sturm, and the final boss.

You cannot purchase or obtain these weapons when you play the game for the first time. Magnum STAKE becomes available in the second playthrough. When replaying the campaign, you have to reach any of Duke's locations (as a reminder, he first appears in front of Dimitrescu Castle). Magnum will be in the merchant's offer for 30000 Lei.

We definitely recommend buying it, because the magnum S.T.A.K.E. is one of the best weapons in the game. You will also be able to upgrade it further, although this is a very expensive process.
