Requests are the best way to earn Spinels, which you can use to buy rare items. You can complete some of the tasks earlier without having to pick up the blue note. It's exactly the case now.
You will receive a silver trophy Jack of All Trades for completing all Requests in a single playthrough.

The Insect Hive Request can be found in the Hive area. The blue note is hung in one of the caves on a standing pallet.
Hive locations
To eliminate the nest you must destroy the pulsating yellow blister. Go around it from the left - when you look up, you will see your target. You can destroy the first nest even before receiving the Request.
The following nests can be destroyed from the same position. Sniper rifle will be the best choice here.
You will spot the third nest from the western part of the location.
You will spot the fourth and final nest when looking from the southern part of the location.
Reward
You will receive 4 Spinels for completing the Insect Hive Request.
