The following information is based on the demo version of RE4 Remake. The page will be completed after the release of the full game.
Autosaves
Resident Evil 4 Remake creates autosaves at certain points. A circle icon will appear in the upper left corner of the screen. The game saves the current state usually when entering a new location or wining a larger battle.
Manual saves - Typewriter
You can find Typewriters - they allow you to manually save the game. All machines found are marked on the area map.
Manual saves are free. Typewriters in RE4 Remake do not need Ink Ribbon.
