This page of the guide to Resident Evil 3 Remake has a walkthrough of the prologue which begins in Jill's apartment. You can look around the apartment, however, Nemesis will soon appear. Our solution explains exactly how to escape Nemesis (you can't fight him).
Prologue - Jill's apartment
You can look around Jill's apartment (this is optional) or head straight to the bathroom. Turn the tap and watch the cut-scene.
After you awake again, you can spend more time exploring - there are 4 documents (collectibles) in the apartment. After that, go back to the bathroom to use the sink.
Return to the main part of the apartment. The phone is next to the bed. Soon after using it, Nemesis will break through the wall.
Escape from the apartment
The escape sequence is very linear. You can't fight Nemesis. Just follow the only possible path - Jill has to run down the corridor, run into the apartment, go through the window, go down the stairs to the lower level, go through the window to another apartment, reach the exit door, use the new stairs, reach the yellow ladder and reach the exit door from the building.
Complete this sequence to unlock First Escape trophy/achievement.
Get out of town
After leaving the alley, Jill meets Brad and they begin their escape through the city together. Watch out in the part where the fence gets knocked down. Quickly run to the left towards the Jack bar and stay away from the zombies - if any zombie catches an injures Jill, the heroine will die instantly.
After reaching the side alley, examine the police officer's corpse - Jill picks up a G19 pistol. Don't waste ammunition on the zombies that have appeared in the area. Turn 180 degrees and resume your escape through the city.
Reach the fallen neon sign - Jill will automatically lie on the ground and start crawling. Keep moving. When you reach a warehouse, you will meet Dario Rosso - ignore him. When you leave the warehouse, you should find ammunition for your gun.
Squeeze past the fallen fence again. Don't worry - zombies can't bite Jill. Enter the underground parking area. Get ready - a bunch of zombies will jump out of the elevator. Retreat to a safe distance and try to be accurate with your shots (aim at their heads). You can start saving your ammo now by stabbing zombies that fell to the ground. However, don't risk too many knife attacks - you don't want to get bitten by a rising zombie.
After winning the battle, enter the elevator and go to the roof of the parking lot.
Go to the place where the helicopter will be shot down. Enter the vehicle and complete a simple QTE sequence - try to start the engine by pressing the indicated button, press the gas button and hold it to crush into Nemesis.
After the accident, Carlos shows up to rescue Jill. You will get Somebody to Lean On trophy.
