How to open the safe in the sewers of Resident Evil 2? Resident Evil 2 Guide and Walkthrough

To open the (only) safe in Resident Evil 2's sewers you have to use the code written on the safe's side - 2-12-8.

This safe is near the hideout (the place where you can save the game and solve the puzzle with switches). Cross the bridge and turn right. After that, follow the wall. The safe contains:

• Leon: gun stock for W-870 shotgun
• Claire: upgrade for SLS 60 revolver - An important upgrade - from now on, you can use the second type of ammo. These bullets deal massive damage and they should be used against bosses (without this upgrade, you won't be able to use this type of ammo).
