Unlocking RYNO Weapon - important information
RYNO is the Ultimate Weapon in the game. You can get it by acquiring its plan consisting of 10 fragments. 10 fragments of the blueprint for this Ultimate Weapon can be found on various Spybots - these small robots are one of the collectibles in the game. As a result, you have to locate 10 Spybots. Information on where to find them you can read below (and on the separate Secrets and Collectibles page).
You can check your progress in finding the Spybots in the Collectibles tab. The RYNO weapon plan will be gradually revealed on the right.
You don't need to collect the Spybots in the same order as in our guide. You can also come back for missed robots, as the game allows you to revisit planets you've already explored.
Spybot 1 - Nefarious City
You can find the Spybot on your first visit to Nefarious City. To do it, you have to do the optional objective and visit the factory located in the western part of the map - this location is described on the Market and factory exploration page in our guide.
Reach the area at the very end of the factory. After eliminating the opponents, you can approach the spybot.
Spybot 2 - Sargasso
You can get this Spybot only after you have unlocked the side quest related to Morts and Trudi. It will appear in your journal after you your first visit to the Scarstu Debris Field location and defeating Francois in the arena.
You will learn from Mort that you have to collect Zurpstone (purple fruits) for Trudi and to unlock the Spybot, you must get all 60 Zurpstone hidden on the planet (the game will mark the locations on the map). We described the quest in more detail on the Returnig to Sargasso - Trudi page in our game guide.
Spybot 3 - Scarstu Debris Field
You can find the Spybot revisiting the Scarstu Debris Field, specifically after returning from the planet Cordelion.
Right of the Gastropub entrance, you can find an interactive grappling, on which you have to use the Hurlshot skill unlocked earlier - grab the grappling and accelerate to the maximum speed (holding L1). This will allow you to catapult your character north and reach the circular platform with the Spybot.
Spybot 4 - Scarstu Debris Field - Arena
You can get the Spybot in the final phase of the game after returning from Viceron Prison. There will be new Gold Cup rounds in the Gastropub arena. You have to take part in the Vroom Around gold cup challenge.
In this challenge, you have to defeat opponents on futuristic motorcycles while moving in weaker gravity. We described this challenge in more detail on the Arena - Gold Cup page in our game guide. Fortunately, it isn't too difficult.
Spybot 5 - Savali
You can find the Spybot on your first visit to Savali. You have to reach the area in the northeastern part of the map marked in picture 1. There you will find the entrance to the cave, and you have to make several jumps to reach it.
The path through the cave will lead you to the large shipwreck shown in picture 2. You have to grab onto the top grapplings and bounce off them to reach the ship and find the Spybot on its main deck.
Spybot 6 - Blizar Prime
You can find the Spybot during your first visit to Blizar Prime, where you will need to focus on the side objective to locate Chef Tulio. After beginning in the miners' camp in the pre-apocalyptic dimension, you have to travel to the northeast to find the character.
After locating Chef Tulio, you have to help her protect the VAC-U-SUK device from waves of enemies. Keeping the machine running and winning all battles will reward you with a Spybot. For more information, check out the Finding Chef Tulio page in our guide.
Spybot 7 - Torren IV
You can find the Spybot on your first visit to Torren IV. Once you reach the village in the initial part of the planet, you have to locate a side path leading to a magnetic twisting path. You have to use Magneboots to reach the area under the village where you will find, among other things, the Spybot.
Spybot 8 - Cordelion
You can find the Spybot on your first visit to Cordelion. You have to reach a large underground complex located in the hot planet dimension (one of the two dimensions in this mission).
In the room shown in the picture, look around for an upper balcony with a gap to which you can grab. On the balcony, you will find the Spybot.
Spybot 9 - Ardolis
You can find the Spybot on your first visit to Ardolis. You have to explore the northeastern island of the archipelago shown in the pictures above. You will not visit this island as part of the main storyline. You can go there while crossing Ardolis or only after you have completed all the main activities in this location.
You can reach the northeast corner of the map in two main ways - by jumping and gliding from the central platform or by using Speetle. The Spybot levitates next to the beach and teleporter.
Spybot 10 - Viceron
You can find the spybot on your first visit to Viceron. You have to approach the processing center visited in the initial part of the mission. Instead of entering the building, run along the walls located to the east of the building. You will get to the ventilation shaft and you can smash the entrance throwing a white weapon.
Explore the ventilation shafts above the main rooms of the building. In one of them you will find the Spybot.
After finding all 10 Spybots, you have to meet with Mrs. Zurkon, a trader from the game world. Ms. Zurkon has a shop in at least one location on each of the planets you visit. You can visit any of them.
After speaking to Ms. Zurkon, you will see information about unlocking access to the RYNO 8 weapon. You have to "purchase" it for 0 bolts. Unlocking the RYNO is rewarded with a silver trophy - Aim to Misbehave.
RYNO works by creating gaps into other dimensions through which huge (random) objects fall. An ideal weapon for attacking groups of enemies, as its striking distance is quite vast. However, you can also use it to weaken bosses. Try to choose standing or slow-moving opponents - so they don't have time to move away from the area where you create the gap.
