Mission objectives - part two

  2. Transport 12 loads of Weapons to Jackson
  3. Transport 2,000 passengers

Mission objectives - part three

  1. Transport 3000 passengers from Louisville to Atlanta
  2. Bring the population of Atlanta up to 60,000 inhabitants
  3. Bring the population of Jacksonville up to 70,000 inhabitants

In this mission, you will gradually expand your influence to the south, by completing consecutive objectives. You do not have to worry about the competition's activities. It will come down to sending saboteurs, including robbers, to your trains. It is best to bribe them, otherwise, the number of passengers using your lines will fall. With each subsequent task, the railway network of your rival will diminish until it is completely eliminated from the game. You do not have to worry about his activity or acquiring his company.

Before starting to develop Louisville, build a weapons factory in this city. This is the best location for several reasons. There is already a chemical plant there, producing one of the necessary components for a weapons factory. To the north, there is a sawmill in Indianapolis, from where you will transport boards. In the east, there are two mines, one coal mine, and one iron mine, both of which will be necessary for the industry in Louisville.

In the beginning, take care of the existing tracks and add one train to each of the lines between the cities and the production centers and the warehouse. Then, create a line with at least one train between the warehouse and Louisville, although you will quickly feel the need to add additional trains here. The warehouse will facilitate the work of your trains and improve traffic on the tracks. Not all trains have to go to the city in order to deliver goods. The warehouse divides this route and reduces the number of trains that arrive at the city. You should then build additional routes: connect the two mines in the east with the warehouse/Louisville and start delivering wood from the north to Indianapolis.

You will quickly create the first load of Weapons and develop Louisville. Then, you will unlock another area with railway infrastructure. Combine Louisville with the new stations that have gone under your control. The next 12 loads have to be transported to one of these two cities: Nashville or Memphis. All you have to do is create a route to Nashville and give priority to loads of Weapons. After 2-3 deliveries you will be able to proceed to the next tasks.

There are two ways to reach Knoxville. You can avoid the mountains and choose the longer, but cheaper route (1). Up until now, you have probably already created a connection to Nashville. You can create a shortcut that runs through the mountains. It is very expensive because of the construction of a tunnel (2). - Chapter 4 - Civil War | Campaign in Railway Empire - Campaign - Railway Empire Game Guide

Transporting 12 loads of Weapons to Jackson and Knoxville is the next task for your company. You can begin transporting to both cities. In order to reach Jackson, just extend the already existing route to Memphis. The delivery of goods to Knoxville requires the creation of a new route through the mountains or bypassing the mountains from the north-east. Do not forget to set a priority for loading Weapons in new lines. Apart from that, you must also transport 2,000 passengers between all of the cities. Simply create new lines between e.g. Louisville, St. Louis, Memphis or Nashville and equip them with the best passenger engines. On such routes, take care of having the appropriate throughput, do not assign freight trains and build sidings or dual-track.

Completing the last part of the task will unlock the remaining area of the map and you will receive the rail routes of your rival. Most connections are conducive to investing in Atlanta and Jacksonville. Focus on basic resources and products. If necessary, build a museum in both cities. The most important thing is to create an Atlanta-Louisville connection. Fast transport of passengers over a long distance with a small amount of time, may be demanding, but it is still possible. You must create a route that will be used exclusively by passenger trains. Freight trains will only slow down the pace of your connections. Create sidings or dual-track along the entire length of the route. After the track is completed, create one train and wait for it to travel a certain distance, and then add another one until there are 3-4 trains on the route. Use the route through Nashville/Knoxville, which you have used previously to transport weapons, and assign the previous trains to the new route. After achieving the goal, you can calmly take care of the development of Atlanta and Jacksonville.
