QUBE 2 - Chapter 5 - Tangled (The Machine) Q.U.B.E. 2 Guide & Walkthrough

Chapter 5, Tangled, introduces a new element to Q.U.B.E. 2 - fans that can be used by the player to fly. However, you need to be careful when using them to solve puzzles, as fans can blow your character away and prevent you from continuing your journey.

Approach the panel and activate it. This will turn on the strange machine, opening one of the three passages.

Create a blue cube and move higher. You will now be in a room with a strange generator, which is apparently connected with the machine you've seen in the previous area. Your character can move in one direction here, so just advance through the door on the right side.

Create a blue cube to be able to jump to the elevation and pull the orange cube out of the wall, creating a step. Advance to the next section.

Create a green cube and pull it out so that it falls on the large button. This will create stairs, allowing your character to advance.

Stand on the next button, activating a mechanism that will create a makeshift bridge, allowing you to advance.

Create a blue cube and get to the higher level. Approach the large button and stand on it to activate the mechanism.

Create a green cube and pull it out, activating the second button. Now turn around towards the console and create a blue cube there. Rush towards the console and jump on the blue cube.

While standing on the crane, look in the direction of the green cube lying on top of the button. Delete it to release the mechanism. The crane will move and your character will be able to advance to the next area.

Create a blue cube on the console and jump to the higher level. Afterwards, create a green cube on one side of the panel and an orange cube on the other. Use the stairs to reach the next area.

Activate the green cube on the upper panel and the orange one on the lower. Now you must pull the green cube out of the wall, causing it to fall down and pull out the orange cube to move the green one on top of the large button.

This wili open the passage to the next button that has to be pressed to activate the next mechanism. Now pull the orange cube out of the panel, as shown in the second screenshot.

Activate the green cube on the upper panel and the blue cube on the lower. Now pull the green cube out of the wall, causing it to land on the button. This will open passage to the next area.

Activate the blue cube and get to the higher level. You will find a fan below you. Don't worry - you can jump down, as the fan will carry your character upwards, allowing you to move above the abyss.

Activate the blue cube on the panel, jump up into the air and let the fan do the rest of the job.

Activate the blue cube and jump higher. You now need to stand on the large button to summon the crane.

Pull the orange cube out, creating a screen against the wind from the fans. Jump down, hide behind the pillar and don't lean out of your cover until the crane reaches the end of the route.

Create a blue cube and get to the higher level. You now need to create steps, like in the second screenshot. Pull the orange cube out and create a green cube just above it.

Create an orange cube and pull it out of the panel. Now create a green cube on the upper panel and a blue cube on the lower one.

Pull the green cube out of the wall, causing it to fall on the large button. Afterwards, create a blue cube on the left side of the console and use it to reach the higher level.

Stand on the large button, right next to the abyss, and activate the green cube on the crane control panel. One the crane reaches the other side, you must quickly get off the button, run to the left side and stand on top of the elevator.

The crane will start moving to the left side and your task will be to pull the green cube out of the wall at the right moment, causing it to fall on the large button. The elevator will then move upwards.

Stand on the large button located right next to the abyss to activate the fans. Now create a green cube in the upper panel and a blue one in the lower one. Afterwards, pull the green cube out of the wall. The fans will move it to the large button, allowing you to move to the next part of the puzzle.

Now stand on the second button to raise the wall. Afterwards, create a blue cube on the ground and rush towards it. Your character will bounce off the blue cube and the fan will move you to the other side of the abyss.

Approach the computer and activate it with the LMB. This will unlock the next door in the room with the generator. Jump down and head towards the door located on the right side.

Go to the end of the room and pull the orange cube behind the laser grid. Now create a green cube on the upper panel and pull it out of the wall, causing it to fall in front of the orange cube.

Stand on the large button and wait for the crane to reach the other side. Afterwards, delete the orange cube and the green cube will open up the passage.

While standing on the right side, create an orange cube on the ground. Afterwards, create a green cube on the upper panel and a blue one just below it. Pull the green cube out of the wall, causing it to fall on the large button. You now must quickly hide behind the pillar, as the crane will start moving.

Once you reach the other side, create a blue cube on the ground. Now turn around towards the orange cube and delete it. Your character will be pushed by the fans on top of the blue cube and will move to the next area.

Create blue cubes on the next two panels to continue.

You've just reached another computer. You need to activate it and jump down. Enter the room with the reactor.

Follow the blue cable towards the next open doors. Create a blue cube on the ground and jump on the balcony.

Once in the next room, create a green cube on the rear panel and a blue cube on the front panel. Now turn around to the corner of the room and step on the large button.

Once the crane reaches the bottom, step on the second button. This will turn on the fan, moving the green cube on top of the button, opening passage to the next area.

Create an orange box on the rear panel on the right side (don't modify the green cube or you will close the passage) and a blue cube on the front one. Now place yourself towards the orange cube and delete it. The fan will move your character towards the blue cube, allowing you to get to the upper level of this room.

Create a blue cube and head to the next room. Create a new blue cube and jump on top of the crane.

You will notice fans on both sides of the room - you need to protect yourself from them once the crane starts moving. Start by creating an orange cube near the fans and pull it out to create a screen protecting your character from the wind. Now turn around towards the wall panel and create a green cube.

Once you pull the green cube out of the wall, you will activate the crane. Stay right where you are to keep the protection from the wind. Once you pass the first fan, you will need to create another orange cube on the other side, to protect yourself from the wind coming from there.

Activate another computer and jump down to get back to the room with the reactor. Go through the last door.

Once inside the next room, jump on top of the first large button. Afterwards, create a green cube on the upper panel and pull it out, causing it to land on the second button. Once the crane reaches the end, create a blue cube on the lower panel.

Once again pull the green cube out of the wall, causing it to bounce off the blue cube and fall on the belt on the other side of the room. Once you move out of the button, the mechanism will activate, moving the green cube towards the wall. You will now be able to jump there.

Get on top of the large button and you will create stairs. Now turn around towards the console and create a blue cube. Get to the higher level.

Pull the green cube out of the wall, activating the crane mechanism. Create an orange cube on the bottom panel and pull it out to create a small makeshift bridge.

Turn around towards the console and create a blue cube. Now jump on top of it. Your character will fly through the entire room, landing on the previously created bridge.

Now pull another green cube out of the wall so that it lands right under your feet. This will activate the crane mechanism and create stairs, allowing you to reach the computer.

Once you get back to the reactor room, you will notice it is fully charged, as there are hoses with green substance coming to it from every side. Get back to the main room with the computer and go through the next door.
