All machines in Pure Farming 2018 Pure Farming 2018 Guide and Walkthrough

In our Pure Farming 2018 Guide and Walkthrough you will find a list of all machines from the game like tractors, combine harvesters, soil cultivation machines and planting equipment, trailers, transportation pickups, loaders and other farming implements.

Last update: 14 March 2018

This chapter will describe all the machines that can be bought in the shop in Pure Farming 2018. In addition to basic information, you'll also find some hints on how to use them and whether they are worth the money. The division follows categories used by the shop. Choose your machine carefully!

Tractors

The tractors are divided into five categories:

Light - used for simple, light tasks. This category limited to the McCormick 4600. Its low price enables you to buy several of them and assign them to a single job (e.g. letting one permanently work around an orchard). It is well suited for:

  1. orchard spraying;
  2. transporting small amounts of goods in the Metaltech PH4 trailer (e.g. fertilizer for a greenhouse or rice - a rice harvester can unload the crop only on this particular model);
  3. fertilizing the field with the smallest spreader model, Sipma RN 610 Antek;
  4. planting potatoes using the smallest planter model, Akpil Planter 300.

A light caterpillar tractor can be used to transport materials across small distances.

Light caterpillar - same as above, this category only offers a single machine: the Landini Trekker 105. It's a relatively strong, but not too fast tractor. While it has numerous advantages and uses, not everyone will like it and it certainly won't replace a good medium tractor in the field. You can easily use it for basic soil cultivation, plowing and potato planting. Transporting wares on limited distances is where it can truly shine though, for example when unloading harvesters.

Medium - these are the "basic" tractors. They can use most farm implements, but won't deal well with heavy lifting - when heavy implements are attached to them, their work efficiency drops in comparison to operation with dedicated machines. This group encompasses three tractors: Zetor Major HS 80, Landini 5-115 H and Zetor Proxima HS 120. Notice the last model - it's one of the fastest tractors in the game (that's why it's so expensive!). It can achieve a speed of up to 60km/h.

Heavy - these are your everyday field work tractors. The available models differ in few points, the four cheaper models have a similar power and their price depends mainly on fuel consumption. The available tractors are: Zetor Forterra 150 HD, Zetor Crystal 160, McCormick X7 670, Landini 7-215, JCB 4220, and JCB Fastrac 8330. When buying a JCB tractor it's better to invest in the 8330 model - it's faster and more powerful than its younger brother for a slight price increase. Note, however, that both JCB tractors cannot use a front loader (but they can use a backhoe).

Heavy caterpillar - Agromash Ruslan is the most powerful tractor in the game. It will handle anything the field can throw at it and it's pretty handy to drive as well. It's downside lies in its limited speed and difficult operation - the employees will often have problems when trying to use it.

Remember that a bigger / more powerful tractor is not always the answer when it comes to increasing speed. Some machines have a predefined maximum work speed.

Note that virtual workers have a hard time operating caterpillar tractors - if you plan on buying them, think about how you can operate them by yourself with optimum efficiency.

Harvesters

Pure Farming 2018 features various harvesters. Remember to also buy harvest modules that are compatible with a particular harvester model - without them, the machine will be unusable.

  1. Combine harvesters - they are used only to harvest grain crops: rye, barley, and wheat. The main differences between models are: power (speed), grain tank size, and width of harvest module. I personally recommend you to sell the default Gomselmash and pay a bit more for the Agromash 4000. The main reason would be the limited storage volume of the former model, which forces the player to pause and unload the machine often.
  2. Hemp harvest - Gomselmash PALESSE FS8060 is the only harvester capable of handling hemp crops. It's fast and easy to maintain, but requires a dedicated trailer: Metaltech DB8. The trailer is a must, because the harvester has no grain tank of its own (and the trailer is the only one that works with this particular model).
  3. Rice harvest - Redlands Champion TR22. It's a weak harvester with a small attachment, but it gets the job done. It's got a very limited storage: 3200kg, which is the capacity of the Metaltech PH4 trailer - and it's the only trailer compatible with this particular harvester model.
Some harvesters in exotic countries need to be unloaded in purchasing centers or storehouses. - All machines in Pure Farming 2018 - Basic tips - Pure Farming 2018 Game Guide
Some harvesters in exotic countries need to be unloaded in purchasing centers or storehouses.
  1. Coffee harvest - for this job, you'll need the Skybury harvester. It's quite dynamic and handy, not to mention the fact that its job is limited to driving along the rows of coffee plants in Colombia. The crop cannot be unloaded onto a trailer - you'll have to take it to a purchasing center or a storehouse.
  2. Olive and grape harvest - if you're moving to Italy, you'll have to use one of the following machines: Gregoire G9.330 or G3.220. The former is a self-propelled harvester with bigger capacity (4000kg), quite similar to the Skybury. The smaller model is also much cheaper because it needs to be towed behind a tractor. If you have a powerful tractor, e.g. a JCB, you won't feel much of a difference in efficiency, except for the fact that it's not as easy to handle. In both cases the crop cannot be unloaded onto a trailer - you'll have to bring it to a purchasing center / storehouse.

Soil cultivation and planting equipment

This category includes all the implements required to work in the field.

  1. Plows there are three models available: Akpil KM 80 3+1, Akpil KM 180 HP / VARIO 5+1, and Akpil Maximus. The former two are to be used by standard medium and heavy tractors. Unless your field has more than 2 hectares, these two will be enough for you. Akpil Maximus, in turn, requires the most powerful tractors to operate efficiently. It won't do you much good on smaller fields due to its lack of maneuverability. The difference between the models is their width of operation.
  2. Cultivators - your second task on a field is cultivation, which may take the place of harrowing. That's why you should invest at least in the second of the three following available models: Akpil Rylec 3, Akpil Rylec XL 6, Galucho GXM. Cultivators require less power than plows, so you can choose the Akpil Rylec XL 6. Unfortunately, Galucho is a bit of a hassle to maintain, so buy it only when you have a field of decent size (more than 2 hectares).
  3. Akpil Gepard Drill 3 - it's a unique machine that you should buy quickly in the early stages of the game, unless you are planning to change your crop type to a crop other than grain. It combines a cultivator and a seed drill, so in practice, having this machine is enough to produce a crop in the field. A cheaper heavy tractor is enough to operate the machine, although a medium one will also be able to handle it.
  4. Redlands Champion RP 824 - this machine has only one job - sowing rice. It's a self-propelled vehicle, but it's slow, difficult to use and has a small tank; fortunately it is very cheap.
  5. Akpil Kartoffel - it's a tractor-mounted combine harvester that allows you to harvest potatoes. You don't have to connect it to a powerful tractor, the machine is slow by nature. The main drawback is that it's very quickly fully loaded, so you must have another tractor with a semi-trailer / carrier prepared for continuous collection of subsequent batches.
  6. Potato planting - Akpil Planter 300 / Akpil Power Plant 4. It is worth investing in the more expensive model right away - it has a much higher capacity and does not burden the tractor significantly. To fill up the planter, go to the potato storehouse - that's where you'll find young seedlings.
  7. Fertiliser spreaders - the simplest fertilizer spreaders are Sipma RN 610 ANTEK and SIPMA RN 1000 BORYNA. If you are wondering which one to choose, choose cheaper, especially if you have your employees doing the job. The larger model has only a bigger tank and the employees buy the fertilizer themselves during work. At the same time, the more expensive model is heavier, so the work is moving slower, with the same spreading width.
  8. Sipma NR 1600 - this trailer is used to fertilize the field with manure. You will gain it by breeding cows, so you can fertilize fields for free. It is also required to transport manure to the purchasing point in the biogas plant. To load it, you need to use a tractor with a front loader fitted with a shovel. You shouldn't use it to fertilize fields - the trailer (particularly fully loaded) is very heavy, which significantly slows down the work.
  9. Sowing - you can use one of the two machines for this job (not counting the aforementioned Akpil Gepard Drill 3). The two models from GreatPlains differ significantly in their performance. The cheaper model should be abandoned in favor of the said Akpil machine, while the more expensive model is designed for fields above 2 ha and it is recommended to use at least a cheap heavy tractor to operate it. These models are used only for sowing grain.
  10. Spraying - the machine shown in this section - Akpil Chwast XL - is used for spraying the field in the last stage of processing, i. e. when the plants begin appearing above ground. It is worth investing in this machine quickly, because operating it is one of the fastest jobs to be done on the field, and your crops will increase by at least 10%.

Trailers

The majority of trailers in the game are divided into two basic categories: for transporting loose goods and solid goods, such as crates with greenhouses vegetables. In addition, there are water tanks (used for irrigation of fields and transporting water to orchards / greenhouses), liquid manure (for transporting liquid manure from cows to biogas plant or spreading it in fields) or a milk trailer. Other than that, there are various semi-trailers and a vehicle transport trailer, originally intended for the DAF truck, but you can connect them to any tractor using the Wielton PRD-2 adapter.

This little trailer is best used in small greenhouses
  1. Metaltech PH4 - the smallest semi-trailer with a minimum capacity of 3200kg. It can be operated by any tractor, even light. It is intended for use in greenhouses (you can transport sacks of fertilizer there) and it is the only one able to receive the contents of a rice harvester. Apart from the pickup, it is the only vehicle that can transport eggs to purchase centers.
1 - All machines in Pure Farming 2018 - Basic tips - Pure Farming 2018 Game Guide
  1. Metaltech DB8 - a basic and universal semi-trailer. Its main feature is the possibility of connecting several semi-trailers. After connecting one, just bring the trailer backwards to the next one, in order to get it joined. Thanks to this, you can cheaply obtain a large capacity to collect goods for purchase, and individually they will be perfect e.g. for emptying a combine harvester.
  2. Wielton PRC-2B/W 10t - this trailer deserves attention only because it has the ability to transport bags of fertilizer to the greenhouse. It is therefore ideal for this work because it can also pick up the harvest.
Galucho Transcow. - All machines in Pure Farming 2018 - Basic tips - Pure Farming 2018 Game Guide
Galucho Transcow.
  1. The Galucho Transcow trailer is used for transporting large animals - unfortunately it can only accommodate 4 animals at once.
  2. The game also offers the Sipma NP. 1400 KOMBO trailer, which allows you to load hay / grass bales or silage on it. Regardless of how the bales are placed, they become extremely stable when you get into a tractor with a trailer attached.

Transportation

In addition to the default pickup, the game offers the following transport vehicles:

  1. Mitsubishi L200 - this default pickup is used for fast moving and also for transporting crate goods: greenhouse crops, as well as fertilizer bags and eggs.
  2. DAF Euro 6 FAT / DAF CF Euro 6 - these two transporters deserve the highest attention. However, I recommend the FAT model because it finds many more applications on the farm. These are the best transporters available in the game because they are the fastest and provide very high capacity (16t).
  3. DAF XF Euro 6 - a tractor unit; you can only attach the heaviest semi-trailers and a trailer for transporting vehicles to it. The vehicle works well and the towed semi-trailers have a capacity of 25t. However, it does not perform very well in difficult terrain and off the road, especially with turned wheels. Its main purpose is to collect large quantities of goods from the warehouse and bring them to a purchase center.

Others machines

In this category there are devices intended for processing grass and its derivatives (sedges/ silage), for sale or feeding to cows.

  1. Metaltech WP6 - a feeder trailer. Put the hay, grass, or silage bales into it in equal proportions to create a balanced cow food. When dispersing food (from above), a notification of the filling and proportions of the feeder will appear. It is the only machine that can distribute food in the barn, even unbalanced.
  2. Metaltech ROTO 10 - a forage wagon. Have your grass cut and activate this trailer, and you will see how the grass fills the tank. After filling, you can empty it at the cowshed in special concrete prisms and then load it with a scoop of a front loader and throw it into the feeder trailer.
  3. Akpil Bale - the simplest machine for creating wrapped bales for silage. Attach it to a tractor, lower it, and have another tractor put bales of grass onto the machine using a front loader. The machine is tricky to use, but cheap.
  4. Akpil Saturn 2.8 - the only lawnmower in the game. Activate and lower it to start cutting grass at any point. The grass grows back after a day.
  5. Sipma PZ 1832 PRIMA - the basic baler. Navigate through the grass belt and when the tank is full, press the key to compress its contents into a bale that will drop to the back - you can continue working.
  6. Akpil Tajfun - a raker. It is used to rake multiple strips of cut grass into a single one, making easier to harvest / iron.
  7. Sipma OS 7535 MAJA - compared to Akpil Bale, this machine loads bales independently and wraps them automatically to produce silage. Working with this tool is much faster and more enjoyable.
  8. Sipma WS 6510 DROMADER - a trailer that collects bales automatically. It is enough to drive up to a bale with the machine switched on and the bale is loaded and ready for transport.

  1. Akpil Chwast XL SAD - this small spreader is used for orchard spraying. It can be used even by light tractors. Fill the tank by the shelter and spray the field to start the fruit growth process - just spraying the orchard will initiate growth.

Loaders and weights

This category describes front loaders and front loader attachments as well as weights.

The game also offers backhoes for tractors. - All machines in Pure Farming 2018 - Basic tips - Pure Farming 2018 Game Guide
The game also offers backhoes for tractors.
  1. Front loaders - medium and heavy tractors can use a front loader with various attachments: scoop - used for loading grass / hay / silage onto a food mixing wagon or fertilizer onto a trailer; fork - used for lifting bales of hay that weren't wrapped for fermentation; bale grab - it can grab both wrapped and raw bales (although the latter with some difficulty) and move them to a designated location. Take note to buy a front loader that is compatible with a tractor (medium / heavy). Tractors such as JCB, which cannot support a front loader, can be equipped with a backhoe that can use similar attachments. Loaders are used exclusively in cattle husbandry as well as grass and grass derivative processing.
  2. Weights - simple components that are attached to the front of the tractor to balance it. Useful and recommended for every tractor: you'll surely notice how a tractor tries to turn by itself when using, for example a plow, a mower or a raker. Weights will help you correct this tendency.
