Restore from Backup
In this page you can find a walkthrough for Restore from Backup mission found in Prey. This is one of the main story missions and you get it automatically after getting enough Danielle Sho's voice samples. You must go to the Deep Storage in order to find a disk and insert it into a computer. In the final part of this mission you must get out of the archives after Alex locks all main passages.

Enter the Deep Storage
Go back to the Arboretum and head to locked door that leads to the Deep Storage, the ones that you previously examined. Since you have Danielle Sho's voice samples you can now trick the biometric lock and unlock the passage to the new location. A short conversation with Alex Yu will play when you enter it. After that he will lock you in this location (getting out of the Deep Storage is the last part of this mission).
Find the Central Repository
After entering the Deep Storage go straight ahead but be careful because on your way you must defeat Typhons. The biggest threat is the Typhon Technopath in the big room with the closed entrance to the Central Repository. Just like with the similar fights that you had in the past it is a good idea to start it by throwing a Recycler Charger. When the Technopath is sucked in and loses health you can start attacking the monster. If you developed your sneaking ability then, before the fight, you can go to the broken turrets and by repairing them you can get help in weakening and distracting the Technopath.
Unlock the doors
In order to unlock the big door you must head to the small Security Station located on the left. The office is locked. The keycard is in the Command Center on the floor (this area is guarded by monsters) but you can easily jump through one of the broken windows presented in the picture above and, thanks to that, you can continue the mission immediately. When you are inside the Security Station you must use the computer and issue a command that unlocks the Central Repository (additionally, you can search the room and find useful supplies or download a map of the Deep Storage).
Find the disk in the Central Repository
Unlock the door to leave the Security Station and use the newly unlocked passage to the Central Repository. Soon, you enter zero gravity area. You must be very careful here because there are many Cystoids' nests in the Repository. You can destroy them by using alien abilities, firearms or explosive petrol cans that you can find in the area. Besides that you must fight a new Weaver. Remember about destroying his shield and quickly eliminating Cystoids that are send by him.
After provisionally securing the Repository you must find the Backup Drive. You can find it in the place pointed by the game.
Install the disk
Clearing the Central Repository from Typhons is important because the disk is not automatically put into your inventory. Because of its size your character must pick it up and carry like any other bigger object. You must take the disk to the big computer located in a different part of the Repository and after that the disk is automatically inserted into the computer. Interact with the terminal and confirm that you want to install a new hard drive.
Download the project
You must now go to the Command Center located on the level 2 of the Deep Storage. Start by leaving the Central Repository but be prepared - you can be "welcomed" by new monsters. You can go to the level 2 by climbing in the central part of the Deep Storage or using the side door that leads to a staircase. Those door are closed but a (random) password that opens them can be easily obtained. Search for a note attached to Zachary West's computer presented in the picture. Computer booth is near the place in which you started the exploration of the Deep Storage.
Don't be in a hurry with entering the Command Center because inside of it you can find enemies and among them can be, e.g. Thermal Phantom. Additionally, you must watch out for various "traps" in the ground. After securing the Center you must approach the Download Station and select the Files tab. Download Morgan's Arming Key Fabrication Plan. This triggers a conversation with Danielle Sho after which the game unlocks new main mission - The Keys to the Kingdom. You can begin with its first part now (there is a fabricator in the Command Center) or start it later.
Open the Vault
Stay in the Command Center and use Danielle Sho's computer. Use it to open the Data Vault B.
Escape from the Deep Storage
The vaults are in the south part of the map on the level 2. You must go there. In the new big room you must watch out for damaged electrical joints that can be avoided or glued by using the GLOO Cannon. Besides that you can find another Weaver. You can fight with him or try to sneak around the monster.
Go to the Data Vault B on the right and enter it. Find a small airlock that will take you to a button. When you press it the vault is launched into space and you find yourself in Talos I Exterior. After that you unlock a new main mission This Side Up (The Keys to the Kingdom main mission will also stay active).
