E-mails and audio logs Prey Guide

Many audiologs can be found on corpses.

This page contains a list of locations in which you can find computer workstations with e-mails to read as well as TranScribe devices that contain audio logs. Finding these things is important if you aim to unlock all achievements in the game. Reading all e-mails is rewarded with the Press Sneak trophy, while listening to all audio logs is rewarded with the Psychometry trophy.

E-mails

Apartment

LOCATION	MAILS	COMMENTARY
Yu's computer	3	These e-mails can only be read at the very beginning of the game. When you use the computer after the prologue has ended, new messages will appear.
Yu's computer	6	New e-mails appear after completing the prologue (after completing all tests).

Neuromod Division

LOCATION	MAILS	COMMENTARY
Evelyn McCarthy's computer	2	The computer is located next to the Yu's apartment's mock-up. You can also listen to several special recordings there.
Marco Simmons' computer	3	The password is written on the note stuck to the computer screen.
Demetri Bowser's computer	1	The computer is next to the room with the chopper in it. Apart from reading the e-mail, you can change the mock-up and reset the testing rooms.
Jiao-Long Heng's computer	2	The station can be found next to the testing rooms (A-D)
Jovan Gravilovic's computer	3	The computer is in the research section (Research and Design). Reading one of the e-mails unlocks The Corpse Vanishes, a new side quest taking place in Neuromod Division.
Alice Aiken's computer	1	The computer is in the research section (Research and Design).
Sylvain Bellamy's computer	3	The computer is in the research section (Research and Design).
Caleb Hawethorne's computer	2	The computer can be found in Research and Design section. The station is off-line, and requires Hacking I in order to gain access to the files. Aside from the message, you can also acquire a fabrication plan for Huntress Bowcaster.
Security Station	1	The computer can be found in the security station found next to the Neuromod Division's main hall. Gaining access to the station requires Hacking II. The computer contains a list of employees and enables the player to unlock access to the Skill Recorder rooms.
Junior Bookman's computer	1	Junior Bookman's computer can be found in the Skill Recording Rooms (hack the Neuromod Division's security computer to gain access to this section of the lab). Hacking II is required to gain access to its contents.
John Haskings' computer	1	You can find the station in Volunteer Quarters at the fifth floor of Neuromod Division. The computer is offline - restore the power supply to the Quarters in order to gain access to its contents.
Halden Graves' computer	2	The computer is inside the office which is located above the Fabrication (the access card can be found by examining the corpse on the lower level). Besides reading messages you can open a locker on the ground level that contains exotic materials.

Talos I Lobby

Security computer (Security Station)	4	The computer is inside the security office on level 1. Moreover, you can browse the workers' list and download a map of the lobby.
Security computer (Security Station)	2	The computer is in the Trauma Center on level 2. Moreover, you can browse the workers' list and download a map of the lobby.
Mathias Kohl's computer	3	The computer is in the Trauma Center on level 2. Checking e-mails gives you the code (1122) to the Quarantine room (the code is generated randomly).
Bianca Goodwin's computer	3	The computer is in the executive offices on level 3. You will also gain the code to Volunteer Quarters. Found on the upper level of Neuromod Division (the code is generated randomly).
Sylvain Bellama's computer	1	The computer is in the management offices on level 3.
Jason Chang's computer	1	The computer is in the management offices on level 3. The password is written on the note stuck to the computer screen. You will also gain a code, 0451.
Yu' computer	3	The computer is in the office on level 3. You also have to play a video recording as a part of the main storyline.
Yuri Kimura' computer	1	The computer is in the sales division on level 3.
Thomas Tucker's computer	3	The computer is in the human resources division on level 2.
Regina Sellers' computer	2	The computer is in the Trauma Center on the level 2. The computer is protected and you must use Hacking III ability.
Elias Black's computer	1	The computer is on the level 1 in the closed section that leads to Psychotronics (requires General Access card from January).
Hendrik DeVries's computer	2	The computer can be found in DeVries' office, in the Trauma Center on 2nd level. You need a keycard that can be found near Hendrik's corpse in Hall level 4 (you will reach it later in the game). One of the messages unlocks Do No Harm side quest. You can also acquire a Decryption Key there.

Franklin Goode's computer	2	The computer is in the upper area in Machine Shop's corner (near the fabricator).
Mary Malinaro's computer	2	The computer is in the upper area in Machine Shop's corner (near the fabricator). Besides reading the messages you can also get Huntress Boltcaster Plan and FlexiFoam Darts Plan.
Group: Small Scale Testing	3	The computer is on the upper level next to the atrium. The access code is written on the note lying on the ground. By checking the e-mails you get the code to the storeroom in the Machine Shop (the code is generated randomly).
Thaddeus York's computer	3	The computer is on the upper level. By checking the e-mails you get the code to director Thorstein's office (the code is generated randomly).
Jorgen Thorstein's computer	2	The computer is in the director's office on the level 2.
Josh Dalton's computer	2	The computer is in the Beams & Waves Lab on the level 2. Make some repairs in Talos I Exterior to unlock this area.
Lane Carpenter's computer	2	The computer is in the Beams & Waves Lab on the level 2. Make some repairs in Talos I Exterior to unlock this area. Additionally, you unlock Project Blackbox side quest.
Lorenzo Calvino's computer	3	The computer is in the Calvino's Workshop on the level 1.

Psychotronics

Security Station	1	The computer can be found in the security station on level 1, near the location where you've started the exploration of the Psychotronic Lab. You must access the security station with Hacking II. Additionally, you can look through the employee list and download a map.
Hans Kelstrup's computer	4	The computer can be found in Kelstrup's office located near the atrium.
Rory Manion's computer	3	The computer can be found on the 3rd level of Behavioral Biometrics Lab.
Helen Barker-Combs's computer	3	The computer can be found on the 3rd level of Lab B. Break through the glue to gain access to Helen's office.
Mitsuko Tokaji's computer	2	The computer can be found on the 3rd level of Lab B. Use Mimic Matter power to get to the office.
Annalise Gallegos's computer	2	The computer can be found on the 3rd level of Lab A. Break through the glue near the window and defeat a group of Mimics. Use Hacking I to gain access to the computer.
Demian Linn's computer	2	The computer can be found in the Morgu, located on the 2nd level.

G.U.T.S.

Eric Berger's computer	1	The computer can be found near the recycler located near the entrance to the G.U.T.S..
Security Station	2	The computer can be found in the Magnetosphere's control room. Additionally, you can look through the employee list and download a map.
Laurel Davis' computer	3	The computer can be found in the Magnetosphere's control room. Use Hacking III to unlock it. Addtionally, you can unlock a safe and disable the Magnetosphere temporarily.
Brittany LaValley's computer	1	The computer can be found in the Fuel Storage. The computer is turned off - you must first restore the power to gain access to it.

Arboretum

Alex Yu's computer	4	The computer is in Alex's office. In order to hack it you must use Hacking IV. The process of hacking into the computer is also a part of Who is December? side quest. Additionally, you can also download a Neuromod Fabrication Plan.

Crew Quarters

Security Station	4	The computer can be found in the Concierge in the main hall on level 1. Additionally, you can look through the employee list, downoad a map or check the camera recordings.
Alex Yu's computer	4	The computer can be found in Alex's apartment, located on the highest level of the Executive Offices. Use Hacking II on it.
Emmy Beatty's computer	2	The computer can be found on the 2nd level of Fitness Center.
Sara Elazar's computer	4	The computer can be found in cabin 101. You can access it by going through the ventilation shaft. You need Hacking II to access the computer. Additionally, you can download the Weapon Kit Fabrication Plan from there.
Hans Kelstrup's computer	2	The computer can be found in cabin 103. The keycard required to access the cabin can be found at Kelstrup's corpse located in the Psychotronics Lab.
Dayo Igwe's computer	1	The computer can be found in cabin 104. You need Hacking II to use the terminal. Additionally, you can download the Psi Hypo Fabrication Plan.
Mikhaili Ilyushin's computer	3	The computer can be found in cabin 105. You need to use Mimic Matter ability to gain access to it.
Will Mitchell's computer	2	The computer can be found in cabin 106, which can be explored only after you've started The Cook's Request side quest (as a keycard from Will is required). You need Hacking I to access the computer.
Jorgen Thorstein's computer	2	The computer can be found in cabin 107, in Crew Quarters B.
Sylvain Bellamy's computer	1	The computer can be found in cabin 108. You will gain access to the cabin during The Corpse Vanishes side quest (a keycard from the Psychotronics Lab Morgue is required).
Abigail Foy's computer	5	The computer can be found in her cabin, in Crew Quarters B. You need Hacking I to unlock the system.
Danielle Sho's computer	3	The computer can be found in cabin 112.

Deep Storage

Danielle Sho's computer	3	The computer is in Command Center on level 2. Besides reading the e-mails you can also download Typhon Lure Fabrication Plan.

Cargo Bay

Gus Magill's computer	3	The computer is in the Shipping and Receiving section. Use Hacking II or find a note with a password near Gus' corpse in Fuel Storage Bay. Besides reading the e-mails you can also open the side cages (storages).
Gerald Wildman's computer	2	The computer is in the Control Center on level 2.

Life Support

Supply Depot's computer	1	The computer is in Service Requests room and you get inside by jumping through a window.
Security Station's computer	3	The computer is in the Security Station on level 1. Use Mimic Matter to get inside it. When you are there you can also check the crew list, download a map and unlock Missing Engineer side mission.
Jean Faure's computer	1	The computer is in the Air Filtration Control on level 2.
Abigail Foy's computer	1	The computer is in the Monitoring Station on level -1.
Price Broadway's computer	2	The computer is in the Monitoring Station on level -1. The note with a password that unlocks it is in the same room.
