Increase the brightness

Poppy Playtime is a very dark game. When you run it for the first time, you will notice that it is blurred and rather dark. However, you can increase the brightness to see more details and feel better while traveling around the factory. This does not significantly affect the game's atmosphere. The whole thing is based more on the music and the noises that come out at certain moments. Brightening the screen will only make the game easier. Most elements are virtually impossible to notice on the default brightness setting.

Take your time

The game doesn't require much from you, you just need to perform a few specific steps. If you don't do them, you won't move the story forward. It's worth mentioning right away that it's hard to backtrack, and the game is not too long. It is better not to hurry - look around calmly, search for items, and only then start important story-related tasks.

Look around carefully

The game is quite transparent (especially if you increase the brightness), it's easy to determine what to do, where to go and how to react at a given moment. In our guide, you will find a description of all puzzles and information about each important story element.

Collect tapes

Video tapes have two functions:

1. They are important plot elements, e.g. thanks to them you get specific equipment;
2. They provide additional information regarding the plot or the factory.

Use headphones

Poppy Playtime has horror elements. The game has only a few "jumpscares", most of the atmosphere is created by music and various sounds. Headphones are a great choice as they will improve your immersion.
