Nice view... - Hakulani Observatory and Electrium Trial | Walkthrough - Game walkthrough - Pokemon Moon Game Guide
Nice view...

When you've reached the top of the mountain, first visit Poke Center to prepare your team for further trek. When prepared, leave and go to the back of the building. An Oak who is standing there, will give you a Moon Ball. When proceeding down this path, you'll find a Level Ball which is located behind two yellow cars. Your next objective is to reach the observatory, but before you do that, take a closer look at the road to it. Visit the path on foot. You should see a woman by the entrance who has her back turned to you. She will call you out if you talk to her.

Jessica has only one pokemon that will be called for the duel: an lvl 28 Clefairy.

Bushes below contain TM72 Vola Switch. This location has reported sightings of following pokemon:

  • Skarmory
  • Fearow
  • Ditto
  • Cleffa
  • Minor
  • Beldum

Proceed further below - you'll find a Fast Ball. You'll encounter a guy with a backpack that wants to have a duel with you:

Thomas will send two pokemon against you. First is an lvl 27 Boldore, and the second an lvl 28 Geodude. Both pokemons are vulnerable to water.

The way below will lead you to next bushes. You'll also find a Heavy Ball. Aside from that, there is another enemy up ahead:

Todd has two pokemon: lvl 28 Passimiana and an lvl 28 Oranguru.

Continue the trek. You should find a Max Potion along the way. After a moment you'll reach a bus stop, which means that you've seen the whole area. Time to return to the top and continue with your tasks. The door to the observatory will be an area for the next fight.

Maloyne will send 3 pokemons. The fight will begin with an lvl 29 Skarmory - make sure to counter him with an electric pokemon. Your next opponents, an lvl 30 Dugtrio and lvl 30 Metang are vulnerable to psychic and dark damage, respectively.

Enter the shop, and talk to the guy behind the counter - he'll give you a Comet Shard. Proceed to the next room and go left. There is a Zygard Cube Fragment behind the magnemite. The violet-yellow door will lead you to the next trial.

Electrium Trial

The trial will begin when you speak to Sophocles. All lights will go out, and your objective is to recognize the sounds. You'll hear the first sound after short conversations.

The correct answer is Poke Center. You'll be attacked by an lvl 27 Grubbin.

Now its time for a short cut-scene and the situation will repeat itself. Recognize another sound:

The correct answer is Rottom Dex. Your next opponent is an lvl 27 Charjabug.

As previously, a short movie will play-out, and another sound needs recognition:

The third correct answer is Charjabug. Interestingly enough, you'll be facing an lvl 27 Charjabug.

Another cut-scene, and the final answer is:

A Totem Pokemon

A battle with Totem Pokemon will begin. This time, you'll be facing a Totem Vikavolt lvl 29. He has boosted base statistics and can summon a pokemon to help. It is vulnerable to stone and water pokemons. Once you win the fight, you'll receive Electrium Z and Steelium Z. After a short conversation, you'll have to return to the professor who is located in Malia Garden. Leave the building, and use Charizard to get to the gardens. You'll notice that Kukui talks with Skull gang. Finally, the leader himself will appear - a tough fight awaits you

Guzma has two pokemons. First attacker is an lvl 31 Golispod, while the second one - an lvl 30 Ariados. The former is vulnerable to electricity, stone, and flying pokemons. He has a passive ability, allowing him to escape the battleground when his health is low. This moment will be used by Guzma to throw Ariados into the mix. He is countered by the same elements, but has a weakness - psychic pokemons. Watch out for him as he can deal heavy damage and improve his strength drastically. When this happens, he can one-shot your every pokemon.

Once you've won the fight, you'll receive a Z-Crystal connected with your pokemon that you've chosen at the beginning of the game. You'll also learn that to pass the next trial, you need to visit Route 11. The route is accessed by leaving through the bottom exit from the town.
