Go to the other side of Route 5 once you've passed the final trial. You can catch following pokemon here:

  • Diglett
  • Caterpie
  • Fomantis
  • Trumbeak

Use the first staircase to go downstairs and turn left. Here you'll be constantly attacked by Digletts leaving the cave. You can find a Big Root in the cave once you've killed the pokemon. There is a Zygard Cube fragment straight ahead and bushes for catching pokemon. Before you enter them, fight a small boy nearby.

Caleb has only one pokemon - an lvl 20 Charjabug. This pokemon is vulnerable to fiery attacks.

Turn left behind the bushes - you'll be facing another trainer:

Alexis, who will field two pokemons: an lvl 22 Goomy and an lvl 23 Sylveon.

You'll find a Hyper Potion once you've dealt with Alexis. Return and proceed to the left - you'll be facing another enemy.

You are now battling Gabriel, who will field an lvl 21 Mudbray.

Climb to the top - you can find Ether. This location is infested with Digletts sticking out of their holes. The hole contains Soft Sand, while the nearby passage ends with a TM59 Brutal Swing. Now return to the main road by jumping from a small bank. Now descend two steps below, and you'll return to previously seen location. Return to Heahea City.

The fight will result in Dusk Ball. Now, try to get access to the other side. After a while, you'll find stones that can be destroyed using Tauros. Do so and pick up a Fire Stone that was behind them. This item allows you to evolve Eevee into her fiery form. Before proceed using the stairs, equip Stoutland - you can find X Attack nearby. You'll find two people once you get onto the stairs. Talk to them and proceed further until you find a Hyper Potion. You can now choose from two ways, first follow the shorter one. You'll be attacked by Diglett circling around the area. Defeat him to receive Soft Sand. Now you need to defeat another miner:

He will field two pokemons: an lvl 21 Roggenrola, who is vulnerable to grass pokemons, and an lvl 22 Mudbray.

Return to the main road and follow the second turn. Approach the coal chest - you'll find a Nugget. There is another fragment of Zygard Cube next to it. You'll be forced to do battle with another miner:

Vaclav has a lvl 22 Machop

You'll encounter Skull crew once again after a short while. Hau will help you during the fight.

Your enemies will field an lvl 22 Formantis and lvl 22 Salandit, while you'll be supported by Hau/Pikachu.

Proceed ahead until you reach a river bank - a Net Ball and an encounter with a fisherman awaits you:

Mike has an lvl 23 Chinchou, a water-electric pokemon.

Once you've won the fight, start fishing in the crevice - you can fish out a Big Pearl or encounter standard water pokemons. Proceed to your objective. Use the gate to enter the city, and a short introduction cut-scene will be screened. This city has a lot of shops allowing you to buy numerous items, visit a hairdresser, or buy new clothes. When you've left the city through the second exit, you should notice a woman with three Pikachu. You'll receive a Pikanium Z. A small girl in Poke Center can give you a Poliwhirl in exchange for Zubat. The scientist on the right side of Poke Center will ask you to recognize a pokemon that is called Oranguru. You can find him in Lush Jungle. The way further is closed for the time being, so when you're ready, proceed to the objective. You'll learn that you need to visit Ruins of Life to meet with Olivia. The quest giver will supply you with a Max Potion. Now proceed to the Diglett Tunnel exit. You need to proceed in the opposite direction than previously to find the new area, Memorial Hill.

Note - Once you've defeated Olivia, return to her shop. There is an important item connected to Zygard Core on the first floor.

Another cemetery up ahead

You'll find yourself in Memorial Hill. Use the stairs to get on the higher plane. You can find a Healing Powder near the graves. Further ahead you'll fight a man who has his back turned to you.

Smith will send an lvl 23 Umbreon.

Proceed ahead, but remember how to approach the graves. You'll find Adrenaline Orb and Super Repel. Aside from that, the cemetery holds a Cleanse Tag, Dusk Ball, and Hyper Potion. These items can be found lying on the ground. You will encounter other trainers along the way:

  • Liam - has two pokemons, an lvl 21 Jigglypuff, and an lvl 22 Ledian. These pokemons are best countered using a fire pokemon.
  • Sayuri has a lvl 23 Comfey
  • Melissa has only one pokemon up her sleeve - a lvl 23 Ariados

Memorial Hill has seen sightings of following pokemon:

  • Zubat
  • Phantump
  • Gastly

The way to the next area is guarded by Skull gang. You'll be forced to fight after a short conversation.

Skull sends a lvl 23 Raticate

After the fight, you'll receive info where to go after completing the great trial. Your next waypoint is Hano Grand Resort. You are now at Akala Outskirts. The area is inhabited by following pokemon:

  • Wingull
  • Stufful
  • Nosepass
  • Raticate

Vernon will be your first opponent in this area:

He will call two pokemons: an lvl 23 Staryu who is best countered by a flying pokemon, and lvl 23 Gyarados. The second creature is a more demanding enemy, so throw your most powerful pokemons at him. Just don't use a fire pokemon.

Up ahead there is a TM28 Leech Life waiting to be found. Fish in this location and proceed forward. Use the hill to get to the next plane. You'll encounter your next enemy:

Kenji, who will send Hariyame - a fighting pokemon. Use a flying or psychic pokemon.

Returning to Memorial Hill, you'll find another part of Zygard Cube. Using Stoutland will allow you to find a Big Mushroom and 2 Tiny Mushroom. Finally, you are standing before the entrance to the ruins. You'll be accosted by the new gang member before the entrance. Let's eliminate her:

Plumeria has two pokemons - lvl 25 Golbat, who is vulnerable to psychic pokemons, and an lvl 26 Salandit who is also easily disposed of using psychic attacks.

Once you've won the battle, enter the ruins. Before you fight Kahuna, you'll meet Lilli that will heal all your pokemons. Before combat, you should remember that our enemy specializes in stony pokemon - you should have some grass pokemons at hand.

Kahuna Olivia is a pretty tough enemy, despite appearances

Kahuna Olivia has 3 pokemons. First, you'll have to face an lvl 26 Nosepass. He will often use Thunder Wave, an attack that paralyzes our pokemon and interrupts casting of his abilities. To heal this status, you need to have a supply of Paralyze Heal. Once you've through with Nosepass, Olivia will send an lvl 26 Boldure. The final obstacle, Lycanroc, can prove to be a difficult enemy. Not only that, Olivia can use a Z-Ring ability - Continental Crush. It deals serious damage from the ground, and can easily defeat our pokemon. Grass pokemons are very useful in this fight, as they are able to deal heavy damage, and are able to survive Kahuna's special attacks. Once you're victorious, you'll receive Rockium Z. Time to visit Hano Grand Resort.
