Types of Pokemons and how they impact the gameplay Pokemon GO Guide

Pokémon GO has the same rules as other Pokémon games released on Nintendo handheld consoles. Each Pokémon has its own type (fire, water, flying and so on) thanks to which he is effective against some Pokémons and is vulnerable to other ones.

Above you will find a table with all Pokémon types (some of them might still not be available in the game) and information about from which Pokémon types they receive less damage and from which ones they receive more damage. It also contains information about to whom they deal more and to whom they deal less damage.

Important - remember that the Pokémon type alone matters only for the creature that is attacked ("the defender"). In case of the aggressor the attack type is more important than the Pokémon type. There are Pokémons in the game which, for example, are flying type, but have fire, ice or electric attacks - these attacks will determine how much damage the enemy will receive.
