Last update: 18 April 2019

This chapter in our guide to Pathway contains a short walkthrough for the story missions/expeditions available in the game. Each chapter contains useful tips for beginners and information about a mission. Below you can find a few general tips for the missions.

Use the sliders available in the mission select screen to adjust the difficulty and time of day (this option is available after you beat the game once - it only has an impact on the games atmosphere). - Story missions in Pathway - Walkthrough - Pathway Guide and Tips

Pathway features five story missions. The game encourages players to have multiple playthroughs - the procedurally generated events and numerous available characters mean that no playthrough is the same! If you want to, you can use the Customize option to modify the difficulty level - you can increase enemies' endurance and adjust your starting fuel and ammo supplies.

You have to create a new team every time you start a mission. All your characters have full health, armor, and ammo unless someone is being hospitalized. You keep collected money, valuables, and items stored in the jeep. However, you don't keep your fuel and ammo. Because of that, you should try to use all your fuel during a mission. If you are close to the mission's goal, try to drive around the nearby areas (provided you still have fuel in your car).

Remember to always sell valuables before you finish a mission. - Story missions in Pathway - Walkthrough - Pathway Guide and Tips
Remember to always sell valuables before you finish a mission.

If you don't sell your Valuables stored in the jeep, you won't get money from them after your current mission is over. The only way to get money from your Valuables is to sell them during a mission.

Each mission requires preparations - Story missions in Pathway - Walkthrough - Pathway Guide and Tips

Each mission requires preparations. The slots for characters are displayed at the bottom of the screen. You don't have to pay anything to recruit heroes unless one of them is being hospitalized - pay $500 to "revive" that character or complete one mission to be able to recruit that person again.

You control two characters during a mission, but your party can consist of up to four members. To unlock new heroes, you have to meet them during events. Your party can consist only of heroes you already have unlocked. Their gear is the same as in the character selection screen.

You can compare items - take a weapon from a character who isnt part of your party and give it to your ally. - Story missions in Pathway - Walkthrough - Pathway Guide and Tips

The second screen shows the jeep's storage, amount of fuel and ammo. The jeep's storage is empty during the first mission. Hint: you can move items between the characters. Take items from one hero to the one you chose and give them, e.g. a weapon, equipment, medkits, etc. or place them in the jeep's storage. Also: equip one of your characters with a weapon and put another one into the jeep's storage to compare them.
