Outriders: Quick Beginner's Guide

Below you will find some of the most important tips for players starting the campaign in Outriders:

  1. Use covers, give yourself some time - enemies will always outnumber you. If there is no time limit, give yourself a moment and stay behind a cover. It's often impossible to keep moving forward.
  2. If you want to learn more about the game's world - explore the locations. You can find hidden logs which tell more about the world of the game.
  3. Customize weapons for your classes and play styles. It is quite important to choose weapons that are suitable for your class - for example, as a Trickster, you will prefer to have short-range weapons due to the close-range healing attributes of this class.
  4. Play with others. Abilities of different classes can be combined in an interesting way, so it is worth playing with others.
  5. Don't skip side missions. In addition to rewards like equipment, you can also unlock new merchants. Replaying side missions also makes sense as they always offer different rewards.
  6. Avoid grenades - enemies like to throw a lot of them very often, even after death.
  7. Don't be afraid to allocate points in the skill tree. Points can be reset meaning you can experiment.
  8. Remember how you can restore your health points. Most character classes, except Technomancer, have to get close to enemies to regenerate their health points.
  9. Look around. Usually, when you are out on a mission, you can find iron deposits necesary for crafting.

For more tips and information, see the separate Beginner's Guide section.
