Sodium Nitrate is an advanced catalytic converter for loading defense technologies such as shields or threat protection. It was added in the No Man's Sky NEXT update. It provides a much better energy per gram ratio than normal sodium.
How to get Sodium Nitrate?
Sodium Nitrate can be obtained from portable refinery or occasionally found in crystal form on the surface of the planet. If you use a portable refinery, just place sodium in it and after a dozen or so seconds you will get Sodium Nitrate.
What can I do with Sodium Nitrate?
- Dioxite - Carbon (2 units) + Sodium Nitrate (2 units),
- Haz-Mat gauntlets - Chromatic Metal (50 units) + 20 units Sodium Nitrate
