New World: Void Gauntlet - weapon skills New World guide, tips

The first new weapon in New World, the Void Gauntlet focuses on ranged combat, but also allows you to switch to close combat. On this page of the guide you will learn all the skills of the Void Gauntlet.

The Void Gauntlet, like the Life Staff or the Ice Gauntlet, is yet another magical weapon in New World. This weapon was added in Patch 1.1 and lets you fight both in melee and at range. The Void gauntlet also lets you apply negative status ailments onto enemies or heal nearby allies. This page of the guide features a full skill tree of the Void Gauntlet.

Annihilation - active skills

Petrifying Scream - unleash a void-infused scream that deals 100% weapon damage, staggers and inflicts Root onto enemies up to 5 m in front of you. Immobilizes enemies for 2 s.

  1. Bone-chilling Voice - extends Root time by 1 s against targets with less than 50% HP.
  2. Fortifying Echoes - hitting an enemy grants 10% damage absorption for 10 s per hit. The effect stacks up to 3 times.

Void Blade - summon a blade made of void energy, turning your basic attacks into melee attacks. Pressing the basic attack key unleashes a quick slash dealing 100% weapon damage. Holding down the basic attack key triggers a stab dealing 150% weapon damage. Both attacks inflict Disintegrate on a hit which deals 5% weapon damage per second and reduces the target's damage absorption by 5% for 8 s. It stacks up to 3 times.

  1. Fortified Blade - increases damage absorption by 20% for 5 s.
  2. Vicious Void - +10% crit damage to all Void Blade attacks.
  3. Leeching Blade - heavy stabs heal five percent of their weapon damage per each Disintegrate stack inflicted on the target. Scales only with Focus.

Oblivion - summon a circle of void energy underneath you, dealing 30% weapon damage per second to enemies and increasing damage dealt by your allies by 20%.

  1. Withering Oblivion - your attacks inflict Weaken on enemies, reducing their damage dealt by 5% for 5 seconds per hit. The effect stacks up to 3 times.
  2. Invigorating Oblivion - +15 stamina per second when you and your allies are in range.

Annihilation - passive skills

Forsaken Pact - +10% damage when you have less than 50% mana.

Keen Confidence - +10% crit chance when you have more than 50% health.

Keen Humility - +10% crit chance when all your skills are on cooldown.

Refreshing Precision - each critical hit reduces cooldown time of all skills by 10%.

Empowering Proximity - when you use a skill within 5 m of an enemy your damage increases by 10% for 5 s. The effect stacks up to 3 times.

Efficient Harvest - Harvest Essence's health drain is reduced by 50% when you have less than 25% mana.

Refreshing Frailty - reduces skill cooldown by 5% each time you hit an enemy with at least three debuffs inflicted (they can be the same debuff or different ones).

Leeching Agony - each critical hit heals 15% weapon damage.

Voidcaller - hitting a target with a skill grants a stack of Void Essence. After obtaining 6 stacks they're consumed and turned into a 3 m aura which restores 30% weapon damage to allies as health and inflicts 30% weapon damage per second to all enemies in range. Scales only with Focus.

Decay - active skills

Baleful Tether - fire a projectile which connects you to an enemy, inflicting Weaken on them and grants 4% Empower per second to you 4% max). The connection breaks when the target moves more than 15 m away from you.

  1. Tethered Refresh - hitting a tethered target reduces cooldown of other Void Gauntlet skills by 5%.
  2. Tethered Focus - +100% mana regen when the connection is active.
  3. Soul Eater - when the tethered target dies, recover 80% weapon damage as health. Scales only with Focus.

Orb of Decay - fire an unblockable orb which pierces enemies, dealing 100% weapon damage and inflicting Disintegrate, which deals 5% weapon damage per second and reduces damage absorption by 5% for 8 s. The effect stacks up to 3 times. After reaching its max range the orb returns, healing your allies by 20% weapon damage per second for 5 s. Scales only with Focus.

  1. Draining Orb - gain 5% mana for each enemy hit with the orb.
  2. Slowing Orb - the orb slows down enemies inflicted with any debuffs, reducing their movement speed by 30% for 3 s.
  3. Detonating Orb - pressing the key attributed to this skill again detonates the orb. Blast radius: 4 m. Depending on the orb's current status the explosion will either inflict 70% weapon damage to enemies and a single Disintegrate stack or heal allies by 100% weapon damage. Scales only with Focus.

Essence Rupture - fire a projectile that inflicts Essence Rupture on the target for 10 s. Anyone who hits the target heals by 20% damage dealt. Has no effect on damage spread over time.

  1. Invigorating Rupture - players get +15 stamina when hitting a target inflicted with Essence Rupture.
  2. Overflowing Essence - when Essence Rupture ends, all allies within 4 m of the target recover 80% of your weapon damage as health. Scales only with Focus.

Decay - passive skills

Deadly Range - heavy ranged attack on targets more than 8 m away from you deal 10% damage more.

Fervent Thirst - each time you land a light ranged attack on a target you debuffed with the Void Gauntlet you gain 5% mana.

Radiant Efficiency - mana cost reduced by 25% when you have more than 50% mana.

Refreshing Harvest - reduces cooldown times by 10% per second when using Harvest Essence.

Leeching Agony - each critical hit heals 15% weapon damage.

Extended Suffering - landing a heavy ranged attack increases the duration of your non-crowd control debuffs by 10%.

Mending Evasion - dodging with full mana heals you by 80% weapon damage. Scales only with Focus.

Glimpse of the Void - hitting a target with a skill grants 1 stack of Void Essence. When at 4 stacks or more, the next heavy ranged attack that hits a target deletes all stacks and immediately rests all Void Gauntlet cooldowns.
