Harvesting Tools

For collecting plants, harvesting sickles are used - as with other tools, they are divided into 5 classes. The higher the tier of a sickle, the faster the plants are harvested. Harvesting sickles are crafted by Engineers.

Collection and tracking of plants

You can collect plants in New World from the very beginning of the game. Farm plants, Hemp or Fungi can be harvested without developing Harvesting However, in order to gain access to less common plants, and to unlock tracking, you need to develop the skill sufficiently.

Fast leveling of Harvesting

In New World, the fastest way to develop Harvesting is collecting Hemp. The best location to farm it is in Windshield, nearby Spirit Shrine. The area is also connected by a fast travel point, so you can quickly return to the settlement to store or sell obtained resources. It is worth adding that this method works well with Armoring, as Hemp is required to make gloves.

Harvesting bonuses

You can receive bonuses to Harvesting by developing intelligence. At a given level of this attribute, you will receive one of the following bonuses:

1. 50 Intelligence points: 10% to the rate of harvest.
2. 100 intelligence points: 5% chance of getting 1 unit of Azoth during harvest.
3. 150 intelligence points: -10% by weight of items harvested.
4. 200 Intelligence points: 10% to the rate of harvest.
5. 250 intelligence points: harvests provide 10% more raw materials.
