In New World the decision to join a faction can be made at the beginning of the game. The whole process takes place within the mission Choose your Allegiance which is unlocked around reaching character experienec level 10. This is when players choose between three factions - Marauders, Syndicate or Covenant. Although joining a faction is not mandatory, it opens the way to many activities in the game. So it is worth making a good decision, because the fraction can be changed once every 120 days. On this page of the guide, we suggest which faction is the best.

Which faction is the best?

You need to start with the fact that the differences between the factions in New World are small. Each faction has a different story and appearance of weapons, but this does not affect the gameplay in any way. Thus, the choice of fractions depends on the situation on the server. The best faction is the one that has the largest number of territories on the map. This means that the faction wins wars for influence in the territories, so its members receive various bonuses (eg. in the form of lower taxes or the fast travel cost).

Faction influences can be easily checked on the game map. Colors indicate that the given territory was taken over by one of the factions. The above map is dominated by the color purple-so we can assume that this syndicate is currently the strongest on the server.
