On tihs page, you can find a walkthrough for Excavating the Sky story mission. Thanks to our guide, you'll have an easier time finding all the Equatorial Mount parts and learn how to restore this relic. This is the second task in Qi questline, who wants to get the best tools available for research.

Reward: 500 EXP, Gols 200, Reputation: (+10), Relationship: Qi (+10).
Collect Equatorial Mount Pieces
The task begins right after completing the previous one (Mutual Misstep) Return to Eufaula Salvage Abandoned Ruins and this time, explore layers 9 to 10. If you haven't done so previously, you now need to complete the exploration of previous layers.
Equatorial Mount parts appear randomly - use the scanner to find objects marked with yellow diamond symbol.
Remember about following:
- Equatorial Mount parts are found only in layers 9 and 10.
- If you have searched both layers thoroughly and have not found the required items, you can reset the Ruins and start the search again. Each reset costs 10 Gol.
- Make sure to obtain at least 10 Data Discs during the search, as they will be needed later when attempting to restore the relic.
Restore Equatorial Mount
Head to the Museum next to the Research Center to use the Relic Restoration Machine. More about restoring Relics can be found on the following page: Relics - how to reproduce? Time to revisit Qi and tell him of your progress.
Talk to Qi
Qi is probably in the Research Center right next to the Museum. If he isn't there, follow the mission marker to find him. The scientist will thank you for your efforts, concluding the task.
