Encounters and unique places in Valley of Steel
After getting closer to the fortress, approach the windows and press the interaction button. The game plays a cut-scene - you learn that this place is guarded by robots. Start placing your team members in buildings located on this side of the road. If possible, choose full covers that are adjacent, for example, to the destroyed shutter or exit from the building. We also advise not to place teammates too far apart so that they will be able to help each other if necessary.
The best way to start the battle is to attack one of the Polis-Bot Enforcers patrolling the main street from hiding. Try to use weapons or abilities that can temporarily sabotage bots - use them to eliminate those machines that will come closer to the team. Once a bot is paralyzed, use this opportunity to attack and stop others.
A single Polis-Bot Command is hiding in the fort - this is a stronger version of an Enforcer, which, in addition to owning a jetpack, also uses a sniper rifle. This enemy was the reason why you had to hide behind full covers. Otherwise, a Polis-Bot Command could hit your characters even from the other end of the map. Don't try to get him at any cost. First, deal with the bots which are moving towards the team. Once they are destroyed, start moving carefully from one full cover to another.
Explore the fort (and other parts of the map) after all the bots are destroyed. The fort is two-story, so don't forget to explore all the floors. You can find, e.g. many weapon parts and a unique headgear - Police Taco. After that, you have to go back to The Frozen City - there is no other way out of this location.
