General information about Spear of Heaven
Enemies - Sect Hunter (level 35), Cardinal Hansen (level 35), Sect Butcher (level 35), Sect Pyro (level 35), Mimir Z200 (level 35), Mimir Z600 (level 35), Sect Tank (level 35).
Suggested level - 35.
Access to other locations - The Grogg Den (always available), The World Ender (always available but you have to deal with the enemies in the cathedral first).
Unique loot in chests - Grenadier's Delight - headwear which increases damage of grenades by 2 points. It's worth giving it to the party member who uses the frag grenades most frequently.
Other loot - none, although a Mirmir Z600 mech leaves a lot of weapon parts.
Fights and unique places in Spear of Heaven
In this location don't rush to the further areas. Attacking the enemies in the places where they're initially stationing will make the fights much easier.
The first battle will be the most fierce. You'll fight the opponents placed in front of a ruined cathedral. A good spot to place your characters is in the destroyed building near the main road shown in the picture above. Party members can take places near shutters on the upper floor. Walls will be the high covers.
The strongest enemy is the mini-boss - Cardinal Hansen. He has multiple unpleasant abilities - he can electrocute your heroes or stop bullets in the mid-air (a passive ability which guarantees a small chance for full protection). However, the most important skill is mind control. If one of your party members falls under his control, try to stun them or to separate them from the other members. Attacking them is not recommended, because when the control wears off, they'll be weakened. Note that Hansen is invulnerable to the Mangus' Puppeteer skill - if you want to use it, it has to be someone else.
Besides the cardinal, pay attention to Pyro Ghouls. Kill them in the first phases of the battle, because they can throw a Molotov cocktail to the building and make your characters change their position or to use a smoke grenade.
In the area on the right of the building in which you fought the first battle, you will find flying bots Mimir Z200. They should not be underestimated despite their small size:
- They can rise to a high altitude and increase their chance of successful attack, and also prevent the use of EMP grenades. Use the Circuit Breaker ability and weapons with attachments that guarantee you a chance to stun bots.
- The standard attack of Mimir Z2000 deals 7 points of damage.
- A missile fired by robots can break through destructible covers and damage the characters hiding behind them. You can solve this by setting your party members behind objects that can be destroyed.
The Mimir Z200 robots should be separated from each other, which makes fight easier. You can attack them one on one and a well-equipped party should deal with each in 1-2 turns.
Behind the cathedral, there is a small cemetery and a field next to it, where you'll find more enemies. If you have a character in your party with a good sniper rifle (range for at least 20 fields), it's worth climbing to the partially destroyed church's tower shown in the picture above. It'll help this character to attack enemies from a good vantage point.
In the back of the church, there will be Mimir Z600 and Sect Tank. To deal with the mech or to stop it during the fight with ghouls, use the EMP grenades and Circut Breaker skill. The Tank is more difficult because there are no solid covers in the area, and it can easily break through the gravestones. You can use abilities which stops enemies (e.g. Tree Hugger) or take control over Tank by Puppeteer.
After finishing all of the fights explore the area and loot the corpses and the wrecked mech (a lot of weapons parts). In the cathedral, you'll find a chest with unique loot and a descend to the underground bunker (which is the next location).
