Fire can be a serious threat to the team in the game Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden leading to the weakening of the team. On this page, we suggest how to deal with enemies who rely on fire attacks and how to put out a fire after it appears somewhere on the arena.
The problem of fires mostly occurs when enemies named Pyros to take part in fights. Their main attack is tossing Molotov cocktails.
You can try (at least partially) to protect yourself against Pyro Ghoul attacks in two main ways - fighting them over a long distance and using skills such as Tree Hugger, which can stop them temporarily in place. Pyro is not one of the strongest enemies and there is a good chance that you can kill the mutant before it approaches the team and attacks. It is worth mentioning that Pyro drops Molotov's cocktail at the moment of death and fire appears around it. In this way, you can set other enemies standing nearby on fire.
In battles, in which Pyro enemies appear, do not place your team in tight clusters. In the worst case, only one hero will be set on fire, instead of the whole group at once.
The best way to extinguish a fire is to use a (Smoke Grenade). These are common grenades and it is always worth having at least one object of this type on you.
If for some reason you can't use a smoke grenade, just leave the area that's on fire. Then wait for a few turns until it stops burning. In each new turn, the hero will lose some health, but the damage isn't huge and you can also continue to exchange fire even when the character is on fire.
An alternative way to protect yourself from fire is to purchase a Pyro Armour that absorbs fire damage. This type of armor may appear in Iridia's offer for 120 pieces of scrap (assuming the 20% reduction for her goods).
Pyro Armour can also be found in the chest shown in the picture on the marina area in The Sea Titans. You must first board the ship and take the Evac Control Key. It can be used to open the gate leading to the pier.
