In Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden you can find artifacts. These are very valuable secrets because they can be traded for artifact skills. Additional information regarding the locations of the artifacts can be found in the World Atlas in our guide.

What are the artifacts for?
Artifacts can be traded for artifact skills in the Ark. You have to go to the pub called Pripp's Place. A skill requires sacrificing one or two artifacts.
The most important skills you should unlock fast are:
- Deal Maker - lowers the prices in Iridia's shop by 20%. Be sure to unlock this skill the first time you visit - you will be able to buy more supplies.
- Medic - increases health regeneration by 3 points when using a first aid kit. Buy it at the first opportunity because, by default, first aid kits are not very efficient.
- Blaster Master - increases grenade damage by 4 points. For example, a frag grenade can deal up to 8 points of damage to all enemies within the range of the explosion. This is a huge difference comparing to the initial strength of grenades.
- Zapper - extends the time of stunning the bots after using the EMP grenade by 1 turn. This is especially helpful in the further parts of the game when you encounter more robots, and their stronger variants appear.
East Outpost location. The artifact is next to the cottage where you had to get rid of a group of opponents, near the bonfire.
Hammon's Cabin location. The artifact is on the farm where you encountered a group of enemies led by a Shaman. Examine the area in front of the cottage.
Hipster Fruit Tester
The Fallen Angel location. The artifact can be found in the forest, next to one of the main paths (you'll see a purple glow in the distance).
Location: The Sea Titans. This is one of the better hidden artifacts in the game. You must reach a large ship at the opposite end of the map (the same as the captain's bridge and the passage to the next location). Take an interest in the vehicle wrecks on the lower deck of the ship. Artifact is a battery that you will find in the engine compartment of a yellow car.
House of Bones location. The artifact is in one of the main buildings. This is where you meet enemies commanded by Skoog's brother.
Izza and Fala location. The artifact lies on the hood of the car wreck, next to the building which was guarded by a Shaman and a Tank.
Scraplands location. The artifact is inside a destroyed car workshop. This is the location where the enemies are commanded by Deadfinger.
The Castle of Light location. This artifact is easy to miss. During your first visit to The Castle of Light, talk with friendly Lux and take up the side quest. Look for the key in the neighbor location - The Unenlightened. Defeat enemies from the main part of the camp and find the Lux Sanction Key (shown in the picture above).
After coming back to The Castle of Light, don't go to the first floor to return the key to Lux. Instead, go to the opposite end of the camp. Find the door from picture 1 and open it with the key. The artifact is in a room with slaves (picture 2).
Location Lair of the Horned Devil. The generator is in the central camp (the one where you fought Chief Grey One and Mimir Z600. You can find it next to the biggest building in the area.
Claiming this generator yields four artifact points (instead of one). You can use the points to buy permanent upgrades.
Location The Grogg Den. The artifact can be found inside the big barn found at the farm (the one next to the moving Med-bot).
Holy Book of Fixing
The World Ender location. The artifact is in the main room of the nuclear bunker. You'll find it next to the huge nuclear warhead.
The Forbidden City location. The artifact is on the upper floor of the Roboshack shop. Taking it may activate nearby robots. Fight them or run away.
