Experience - appearance
In Minecraft, you have to gather experience like any other resource. The experience points look like green orbs - they appear after performing some activities.
The bar marked on the screen above shows the experience gained during the game.
Experience - use
You need levels to enchant tools, weapons, and armor.
Experience and death
Each death costs you some experience points.
Gaining experience
You gain experience by performing many different activities:
Trade
You receive experience points every time you trade with villagers. This way you can get better equipment and strengthen your hero.
Preparing food
Another activity you do anyway that provides a lot of experience points. Each prepared meal provides you with experience points.
Fighting bosses/players/mobs
Each creature killed will give you a certain amount of experience points and a few resources. Remember that the stronger the opponent, the more XP you will get.
Mining
You also gain experience points for mining diamonds, lapis lazuli, coal, quartz and emeralds.
Animal husbandry
This is a quick and easy way to gain experience points. All you have to do is breed animals that can serve you as food or a source of raw materials, and you will get experience points.
Fishing
If you like leisurely trips to the water tanks, this is the perfect option for you. Take a fishing rod and just focus on your hobby. Each fish caught gives you experience points
Experience - best method
Combat is the most obvious option. Every opponent you kill gives you experience points, and the stronger the opponent, the more experience you can get.
The second option is perhaps mildly controversial, but very effective. You can breed animals (and receive experience points for them), then kill them (more points) and eventually turn them into food. Each one of these actions will give you experience points.
