Creating an infinite well
If you often need water you can craft an inexhaustible water reservoir. It only suffices to get two buckets with water and dig a square hole (4 bricks) with the depth of one brick. Now you need to pour water into two opposing sides. You will notice that the liquid is still - you can now draw any number of buckets.
Use of an infinite well
From a reservoir like that, you can draw unlimited amount of water and catch any amount of fish. It can have any depth - how water behaves below has no influence on the reservoir above.
You can also dig larger reservoirs, as long as you adhere to the above rules. An alternative is to manipulate water in the correct way - this way you can create an imitation of a whirlpool.
