It is easy to get discouraged after the first attempt to fish, if they end in failure. What counts while fishing is a keen eye and swiftness.
Crafting a fishing rod
There are four species of fish that you can catch, which get caught randomly. To start fishing, you need a fishing rod and any reservoir of still water. to create a fishing rod, arrange three sticks diagonally, and two strings vertically, at the highest stick.
Fishing
After you throw the float, (the action button while holding the fishing rod in your hand) watch water - once you notice an approaching wave of bubbles, you need to get prepared, after a while you will notice a jerk to the fishing rod, now you need to press the action button quickly to pull the fish out of water. It may happen that the fish will not be collected to the inventory immediately, but will fall next to/behind your character. You need to remember then to collect it.
Types of fish
The fishes that you can catch are: Fish, Salmon, Pufferfish, Clownfish, with the probability corresponding to the provided order. Occasionally, you can also catch a treasure or trash. Each one of the fish, apart from the Pufferfish, can be eaten. Fish and Salmon can also be roasted in the Furnace. Pufferfish serves as a component of the Potion of Water Breathing and, just as the remaining fish - to feed Ocelots.
Fishing rod's durability
You can use the fishing rod for as long as its durability allows you - water reservoirs are inexhaustible source of fish.
