Every moment of the game offers you a lot of quests.
  1. Main missions - these missions are marked by an outline and they are connected to the game's plot. Each mission of this type has clearly specified guidelines and goals. Descriptions of each of these missions can be found in the next few chapters of this guide.
  2. Missions connected to members of Sauron's army - you can find randomly generated missions that will appear on the map at any point of the game. Usually, they are missions in which, e.g. you can find orcs fighting with each other. You should complete them because they offer a lot of experience and give you a chance to get valuable items.
  3. Shadows of the Past - in these missions you play as Celebrimbor and you often have to use certain abilities in order to complete them. They are typical challenges in which you can get a gold trophy when you, e.g. complete a mission in a short amount of time or by killing only your main target.
  4. Challenges - they are community challenges that can be completed in order to get additional bonuses. In addition to that, a higher-class equipment can offer you its own challenge that unlocks better stats or new abilities.
  5. Rivalry missions - in these missions you will have to face orc captains. Sometimes, they may be focused on luring out an enemy, fights in a camp or sending your own captain to fight on an arena. Thanks to them you can get a lot of experience and powerful orcs that can join your army.
  6. Sieges - at a certain point of the game, you will get access to siege missions. As the name suggests, you are able to assault a fortress which ends with a fight with its powerful Overlord. With time, you will also have to defend your captured fortresses.

You can always open your Journal in which you can find information about available missions in a given region as well as your progress in other activities.
