Marvel's Spider-Man: Don't Touch The Art - walkthrough Spider-Man Guide and Walkthrough
Don’t Touch the Art is a main mission in Marvel’s Spider-Man from a visit to the auction house. The walkthrough in our guide advises how to sneak playing as Spider-Man and MJ and how to complete the puzzle with the statue.

Sneaking as Spider-Man
You will start the mission in a ventilation shaft. You can test perch takedown here - aim at the ground within the hearing range of the thug (he should be highlighted). Successful action should lead him away from the rest of the enemies and make it easier to eliminate him without alarming the area.
Find a narrow ventilation shaft grate on the wall (picture above) and pull yourself to it. Squeeze through further. On the way, you can catch the enemy standing below and pull him into the shaft (silent elimination).
Jump down, sneak behind the enemy's back and perform a Stealth Takedown.
Zip to another ventilation shaft and move forward.
Exit the shaft, aim at the crate from the picture and shoot the web towards it. It will split the opponents and make them easy targets. Perform Stealth Takedowns on them. You will watch a cutscene here, after which you will play as MJ.
Visiting the Auction House as MJ
As Mary Jane Watson, follow Rose Rosemann, who is showing you around a museum. You can optionally talk with the woman and photograph the consecutive exhibits.
After some time, Rose will go to pick up the phone, revealing a mysterious statue. Draw the camera out (up on the d-pad) and take a photo of the object (R1 on the gamepad).After the guide returns, go to the toilet with her and you will see a cutscene in which MJ is exposed.
Sneaking as MJ
It is time for a short stealth sequence - MJ can't be spotted because this equals failing the mission objective. Go past the lion statue and stick to the shelves with alcohol on them. Wait for the woman to look in a different direction and move on.
Now, wait for the woman to look away and proceed to the cabinets on the right. Choose the right moment and reach the door of the room with the statue.
The statue riddle
You will enter a room with a statue. Below you will find a solution to this short puzzle:
- Approach the picture on the wall with Kingpin and observe the look of the statue.
- Go to the desk and look at the leaflet on the left.
- Immediately pick up the notebook on the right and read the instructions.
Approach the statue. You can interact with its parts to change their position.
Press:
- right hand (pointed down),
- right hand's palm,
- mouth,
- raised left hand,
- head.
The above picture shows the right position of the statue.
Now approach the exhibition on the right, pick up the object shown in the picture above and place it in the palm of the statue.
Place the object in the left palm of the statue (picture above).
You have solved the puzzle and will regain control over Spider-Man again.
Returning to Spider-Man
MJ shares her story and you will return to your hero again. Enter the ventilation shaft and move further. You can quietly eliminate some of the enemies from here - distract them and catch them when they stand under Peter.
In the end, however, you will be forced to face your foes in direct combat. Attack enemies one after another and react to signals to dodge.
You will come across a new type of enemy - Demons, who wield an explosive weapon. These enemies deal high damage on hits, but it is fairly easy to counter them with gadgets (shoot webs) and well-timed dodges.
After the fight, you will watch a longer cutscene with a cameo of a very famous person.
Completing the mission will also grant you a reward of 2,750 XP.
