This page of the Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy game guide answers two questions - whether the outfits from the 2014 and 2017 films that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are available in the game and whether it features the actors who played the roles of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the films.

Outfits based on the Guardians of the Galaxy movie

Outfits known from the film are available in this game, and specifically they are based on the costumes worn by the characters in the 2014 film Guardians Of The Galaxy. They aren't available from the very start of the playthrough and by default, the characters use other outfits designed specifically for the game. The outfits from the movies can be obtained in the form of collectibles and we have included them in the Secrets and collectibles chapter of our guide.

It's worth noting that the costumes in the game function as skins. They simply change the character's appearance and don't provide them with any new abilities. As an added bonus, the newly obtained outfits affect your appearance both in-game as well as during all of the cut-scenes.

The Guardians of the Galaxy 2014 outfit for the Star-Lord (Peter Quill) can be obtained in chapter 6 of the campaign.

The Guardians of the Galaxy 2014 outfit for Gamora can be obtained in chapter 3 of the campaign.

The Guardians of the Galaxy 2014 outfit for Rocket can be obtained in chapter 1 of the campaign.

The Guardians of the Galaxy 2014 outfit for Drax can be obtained in chapter 4 of the campaign (you will get it regardless of whether you sold Groot or Rocket).

The Guardians of the Galaxy 2014 outfit for Groot can be obtained in chapter 1 of the campaign.

Actors from the MCU movies - do they appear in the game?

Unfortunately, none of the actors from the MCU films appear in the Guardians of the Galaxy game and there's no way to unlock them - the game simply doesn't have the movie licence necessary to feature the actors or their voices. At least the characters in the game don't look too different from their movie counterparts and they retain most of their iconic physical characteristics.
